It's What I Need, chapter 1

I looked out the window of my new home and wondered what my so called 'new life' would be like. What I did know was I'd be nothing like where I came from, Wales. A few cars littered the kerbsides and some passed by quickly. The street lights lighting the street, but the shadow's remained. Suddenly, I felt the urge to go to sleep, the whole appartment block fell silent as I wandered off to sleep on my new bed.

I woke up to the singing of birds out side, cool, that hasnt changed! I decided to get up and maybe go for a little adventure. So I stood up and got changed into some ripped jeans and a black and purple stripy t-shirt. I put my hair into two plaits and put some eyeliner on. I grabbed my messenger bag, and stepped out the appartments. A few people said "hello" on my way out but I just smiled.

"Good job I had my car shipped over," I mumbbled to myself as I hopped in and started the engine. Then it struck me, I was now alone, all my friends: back in Wales. Love: I never had that anyway. Family: you guessed it, in Wales. Damn. I drove down the street and into a car park next to a newsagents. I parked up and locked my car before walking into the news agents. In there, it was kind of small but I felt I'd come here more often. I looked at the magazines and the news papers one had three punk guys on it and said 'LOCAL HEROES? MAYBE'. I picked it up and read about the local puck band who were apparently on tour. It had a phone number to get tickets, I grabbed a pen out of my bag and jotted it down on my hand. I saw the opatunity to hear my fav type of music and meet people. I looked around more but didnt buy anything, instead I went home to ge that ticket! Dashing to my phone, I smiled like knowing this was gonna be so good.

"Hello?"

"Hello, lookout ticket line, how may I help you?" said a bored voice on the other end.

"Yeah, can I have 1 ticket to see 'Green Day in Berkeley?"

"Erm, I'm sorry, you can't purchase 1 ticket on it's own."

"Fine I'll have 2," I said not realising what I'd just done.

"Ok, can I have your address please?"
"'Course!"
