(In Tre's point of view)
Alexia knocked on the door, and I took a deep breath. The door opened, and a woman with red hair was behind it. She was skinny for being Alexia's mother. She had the same eyes as Alexia and was a little taller than her.
"Hello Mom," Alexia said. She gave her mother a hug, but her mom couldn't get her eyes off me. Alexia stood back and introduced me. "Mom, this is Frank."
The hairs on my neck when up when she said that.
"So you're the man that has been getting into my daughters pants," Alexia's mom said. My jaw almost dropped when she said it.
"Mom!" Alexia looked at her mother with disappointment.
"Let's go inside, Alexia. You can keep the dog outside."
I was guessing that the dog was me.
"Mom..." Alexia turned to me. "Come inside, Tre, make yourself at home."
"Not likely," I said.
"What was that young man?" Alexia's mom turned to me and stared straight through my soul like Alexia does, but she looked through me like she was gonna kill me.
"Umm, I said I like your house, it's nice and cozy."
Alexia looked at me with a smile. She was finally beginning to be less uptight.
"Well, Alexia worked hard to get it."
"Yeah, I paid with the money I got from my first CD and sponsor's money. I didn't spend it on anything else," Alexia said. She looked proudly at her house.
We went in and went to the living room. Alexia's mom had made coffee, and I thought I was gonna puke.
"Here, have a cup, Tre, you too, Alexia," she said.
"Sorry ma'am, but I don't like coffee."
"And Mom, you know I hate the stuff."
She looked at both of us with anger, and we took the cups right away. The brown liquid in the cup looked so horrible that I was praying that Jesus would come and turn it into coke. Alexia looked worse; her face looked like it was turning green. Alexia's mom didn't even hesitate when she said:
"So Tre, how long have you been sleeping with my daughter?"
Alexia just looked down and shook her head.
"Umm, we've been dating for about two months."
"Why are you dating this man, Alexia?" she said. "He's way too old for you."
"Because I love him, Mom."
I looked at Alexia, and she was smiling, just like the day she was on the Statue of Liberty, with a beauty that is unexplainable. "He makes me happy, he cares for me, and I don't want people to ruin that."
"You don't know what real love is, Alexia. You're 17, too young to even thinking about that. I knew this band thing was bad for you ever since you started it. And the anorexia scandal didn't make it better. You're quitting this band and going back to school. Maybe then you can get some sense in your head."
Alexia just stood there silent, and she said something unbelievable.
"Mom, I want to move out."

(Alexia's point of view)
My mom did the opposite of what I thought she would, she stood quiet.
"Mom, I've been thinking. I want to move out, I'm going to college soon, and I just can't stay here for another year. I think I'll go live with Jenny or someone, and then I'll buy myself an apartment."
"But why? What have I done wrong?"
"Nothing Mom, I just like this place anymore. It feels like I'm being forced to remember the bad times. I need to go out and be on my own. I'll go to college and get a major in something, but after that, I'll probably just stay in music." She was quiet and Tre just looked confused. "I'll move out at the end of the tour. Tre, let's go." I stood up and grabbed Tre's hand.
I opened the door and photographers were taking pictures of us. I walked straight, pushing through the crowd. They asked questions about being underage, and I said:
"I checked the laws. I'm old enough to have him." I looked up at Tre, and he was smiling at me. He grabbed my hand tighter and helped me through the crowd.
