Estelle woke up with a splitting pain in her head. It took her a few moments to realize what had happened. She was lying on the floor of her hallway; she could hear the T.V from the other room. She figured she must have passed out after her head hit the wall.
She doubted her mother would be back yet so she tip toed upstairs to her room. Too tired to get changed she fell asleep in her clothes.
White, all she could see was white light. She opened her eyes to feel them burn. The bright sun shining on her face, certainly did not suit her mood. Her hair was stuck to her face, eyeliner was smudged down her cheeks and she felt like she had been hit by a truck.
She groaned as she felt her cell vibrate in her pocket. She flipped it open and answered it.
"Uhh hey?"
"Hey Stel, its Joey... did I wake you up?"
"Kinda."
"Oh sorry, I know you're not a morning person..."
"Yeah well, what yuh want?" Estelle yawned.
"I was just wondering do you wanna hang out somewhere... if you can?"
"Yeah sure, where you got in mind?"
"Uhh mall?"
"M'kay, anyone else coming?"
"Yeah the Cool's and Kurt."
"Okay be there in half hour."
"Sure meet me uhh..."
"Outside Starbucks. The one on the bottom floor."
"Typical, bye."
"C'ya!"
Estelle got showered, dressed and did her make up and then walked down the stairs, realizing her ankle didn't hurt at all anymore, yet her head felt like it had an axe in it.
"Hey Hun," came the voice of her mother who was sitting at the counter.
"Hey." was all she said back
"I didn't see you last night."
"Went to bed early, I was tired." came Stella's response as she grabbed a bowl of cereal and poured herself a cup of coffee.
Her mother just nodded.
"Where's Colin?" asked Estelle awkwardly.
"Work."
Estelle just finished her cereal and drank the remains of her mug of coffee, grabbed her back and headed out of the door.
"Going to the mall, be back later!"
And the door shut.
When Estelle walked up to the group of teenagers making hell of noise outside Starbucks she laughed.
Joey was the first to notice her,
"Hey! Stella!"
She waved and walked over to Kurt and hugged him. She smiled at him and he smiled back, wrapping his arms around her waist.
"Let's begin our quest to get kicked out of every shop in this mall!" yelled Frankito
And so it began.
