You may not see me anymore, but I'm always with you Adrienne, chapter 4

That night, Adrienne cried herself to sleep, thinking of her husband. How she missed him, how she felt incomplete, yet when she was with Markus she felt whole again. Even that was ripped away from her. She just felt like, someone, somewhere couldn't cope with her being happy, like she used to be. When Billie was with her.

The following morning, Adrienne was woken by a soft knocking on her bedroom door. She moaned, and opened her eyes where she saw Mike stood in the door way with the mornings paper in his hand.
"I think you should look at this Adie," Mike said flatley. Adrienne turned her bedside lamp on, and took the paper form Mike's hands. Her head filled with a throbbing pain as soon as she saw the headline and the picture, blown up full size on the front.
They had caught her and Markus, just at the moment when he bent down to kiss her on the cheek, except from their angle it looked more...intimate i guess.
In huge print, across the top said 'Adrienne with another strange man, right after her own husband died'.
She dropped the paper on the bed and tears rolled down her face. She needed Billie, he would always hold her and comfort her whenever the press got the better of them. He was always strong, but she would never be as strong as him. Where was he when she needed him most?
Mike picked up the paper and left the room, thinking it best to leave her alone for a while. Adrienne had finally burst. Tears were fledding uncontrolably from her eyes, never ending. Her face was red, hair on end and her heart felt as if someone had ripped it out and trampled on it with great force. It was shattered into a million tiny pieces, and there was no Billie to pick up the pieces.

She crawled out of bed, her head spinning and stumbled into the bathroom, locking the door. She leant over the bath, gripping the sides so tight her knuckled turned a sickly white. Her emotions dripped into the bath, one by one. She turned around and sat herself down on the edge of the bath, hanging her head. She couldn't do this anymore. She needed Billie, her one love who had left her to early.

She stood up and without even thinking, let out her rage. She knocked all the toiletries off the shelves, tugging at the shower curtain, making it rip off the railing. She went over to the cupboard and pulled everything out of it, kicking it across the floor. She let out a little moan and sunk down on the floor. Ther was a sudden sharp pain in her foot.
She moved her foot and left there was a blood patch. She looked beneath her foot and saw her razor.

She couldn't think properly, her mind was going out of control. She picked up the blade, and twirled it around in her fingers, looking at it cautiousley. She brought her gaze to the mirror on the wall. The room was a complete mess, her foot was stained red, her eyes were blood shot, her face was puffy. She didn't recognise the figure she saw before her. What had she turned into?

She looked back at the razor in her hands and without second thought, dug it deep across her wrist. She screwed up her eyes, a tear rolling down her cheek. She dug it deep into her skin, again and again.
She could feel not only her head throbbing, but her heart was throbbing with the most undescibable pain.
Her eye sight was fading, everything around her going blury and out of focus. Her breathing was unsteady as she took in big gasps of air.
One last time, she thrust the blade across her wirst. This was the final straw. She felt a sudden lurch in her lungs, her eyes went black and her heart stopped beating. It stopped beating for her life, but never stopping to beat for her love. Billie...
