You may not see me anymore, but I'm always with you Adrienne, chapter 5
"Addie...Addie..." Someone was calling her name. Who?
Adrienne groaned as she felt a hand on her shoulder. Where was she? She cracked open an eye lid and opened her mouth to scream. But strangely, no sound came out. It filled her with the most terrifying feeling she could imagine.
Sat right next to her was...Billie...?
She looked at him, he looked so real, it can't be him can it? She looked down at her hand and twiddled the ring round her finger. She had her wedding ring back. Billie was still looking at her cautiously.
"Addie, you were screaming, what happened?" Billie said softly. Adrienne jumped at the sound of his voice.
She didn't reply, but felt tears seep down her cheeks. He was back, her husband, the one she has always loved is back.
"Adrienne, please tell me, I'm worried about you. You have been tossing and turning all night, and even clinged onto me at one point" Bilie said.
Adrienne looked into his eyes, the same emerald green eyes, Billie's eyes.
She reached out and poked him, he felt so real, what was happening? Billie giggled slightly and poked her back. She had felt it, if this was a dream surely she wouldn't have felt it?
"You were gone Billie, you died, you left me and...I....love....you....Billie" Adrienne said, sobbing. Billie wrapped his arms round her and brought her closer to him. They lay under the covers, Billie's arms around her, whilst Adrienne rested her head in his chest. It felt so soothing to feel Billie's chest go up and down with his soft breathing again.
Adrienne's dream made her realise just how much she loved Billie and how much she cared for him. How much he was there for her and how much she needed him. She could never leave him or love anyone else. He was hers, no one elses.
"Adrienne, just remember, I will never leave you. I am always here for you no matter what and no one can come between us..." Billie said, but somehow the way he had said his last few words of that sentence didn't sound so reassuring...
