True Love Never Dies, chapter 3
"Nurse Mae, get me a tube there is too much blood I can't see a thing in here!" Surgeon Ramey complained. The sweat creased his brow as he worked tirelessly to save the young woman's life.
"Okay let's proceed with surgery," Dr Ramey insisted as he went in through the thick blood and flesh he froze when he noticed something.
"Dr what is it?"
"She's pregnant... " Dr Ramey muttered in a whispered awe.
Beeeeeeep.....
"Sir she's going into cardiac rest!" Nurse Mae stated as the fear filled her up.
"NO! She will not die under my hands!" Ramey insisted precariously,
"Come on Eve... Come on Eve... Come on Eve... "
"Okay everyone take your seats, please!" Eve demanded when she entered the large lecture theatre that she could now call her classroom.
"Who are you?" Some snotty teenager asked. She was a girl with the most perfectly cut bob Eve had ever seen in her life.
"I happen to be your new tutor... "
"You're from England!" A boy snapped from across the room.
"Ah... Yes I am... And its Professor Wright... "
"Professor? You're too young to be a professor!" A ginger haired girl retorted.
"Well thank you, your name, please?"
"Isabella Gregory."
"Well Isabella, I'll take that remark as a compliment, but no I'm not that young. I am in fact Thirty-five years old today and yes, I am from England. My family is from Cornwall and I recently got married to the increasingly popular drummer from Green Day, now if there is anything else you'd like to know about my personal life or maybe even History of Art... I'd appreciate you raising your hands!"
Isabella raised her hand.
"Yes?" Eve said permitting her to speak.
"Happy Birthday Professor Wright," she said quietly her face guilt ridden.
"Thank-you, Isabella," Eve smiled.
The boy raised his hand, "Yes?" Eve said again, permitting him to speak.
"That drummer wouldn't happen to be Tre Cool would it?"
"Name?" Eve asked.
"Cory... Cory Grant!"
"Well Cory the answer is; yes, my husband is Tre Cool," Eve replied, humouring him.
"Ha, yeah right!" Cory laughed.
"Now! Have you read the entire thesis on Calam Davis' Painting Emotions?"
The class looked at each other and exchanged smirks.
"Yeah we have," Cory snapped quickly smiling with his friends.
Eve knew the book was the most boring book in the subject and that it wasn't even on the syllabus. It was as thick as three of Shakespeare's content put together and the language was of the same substance.
Eve smirked and whispered, "Yeah right... "

Tre pulled up outside Mike'sand tooted the horn. Two minutes later Mike came running out, arms laden with three large white pastry boxes, some balloons that had been inflated already and a bag of beer hanging from his wrist. Tre opened the door and hopped out, "Stop running with my cake!" He scolded and held the back passenger door open for his friend who dived in. Tre pushed the balloons in after him and then ran to his take up his driving duty.
"Thanks for this Mike, really!"
"Hey it's no problem whatsoever, Tre, you know that." Mike reassured his best friend sincerely.
Tre nodded feeling pleased and thankful he had such caring friends, that in this world ones as caring as Billie and Mike were very hard to find.

One hard day of work was over, Eve had achieved that much. She had gone into the classroom head high, shown she was the boss and gained plenty of respect.
"Bye Mrs Wright!" Isabella shrieked.
"Good-bye Isabella," Eve answered calmly as she put her papers and files back into her brief case. Cory came up to her, "Hey, do you think I could get his autograph? You know, Tre's?"
"Oh, sure I will... But on one condition!" Eve said smiling. Cory glanced up as he traced his finger on the desk, its wooden surface dusty from being unused.
"What?" he said eagerly, staring straight into her eyes, expecting something bad.
"I read your file Cory and your at present a D student. Now I promise that if you promise to become an A student then I'll bring Tre in with me and you can shake his hand and get his autograph."
Cory stood eyes wide and gaped at Eve, a smile spread across his face, "You promise? You swear?"
Eve nodded, "On my life, Cory, you become an A student and I'll bring him here to talk with you," she reassured her new student.
Cory began to glow, "Aw, Miss, that would be great. Tre's kind of like my idol you know? He inspired me to play drums." Cory told his teacher admirably.
Eve laughed, "I didn't know he was that good!" She said mockingly, "How long have you been playing drums for?" She wondered.
"For years but once a week on my friend's drums, I live on my own with no parents so I can't really afford my own set."
Eve watched Cory sadly, "I'm sorry about that, but you know being an A student can help!"
"How, Miss?" Cory asked with lack of hope.
"Because you'll have the qualifications to become a curator at an Art Museum, I'll teach you everything I know and you'll be a smarty pants!" Eve said reassuringly and patted Cory on the back.
"Thanks Miss, later!" Cory said as he took off out the door with new found hope.
Eve walked out to her car; the old Volvo was parked just as before. Tre had always offered to get her a new car but she insisted on keeping the Volvo as it got her from A to B fine and she was happy with that. She remembered what she'd told him, "I don't need a car that has its own icebox cooler!"
Eve smiled at the memory and approached the car.
Suddenly their was a loud crack as the handle to her briefcase snapped and her jam packed, open briefcase fell, letting loose all the papers inside. With a huffy tut and sigh, Eve bent down to retrieve her documents. Much to her dismay the bright sunny day offered its first gust of strong wind that blew the documents all over the car park. Some students near by watched laughing and some others including some teachers jumped on the flying papers to retrieve them all.
Once Eve had collected most of the flying papers she stuffed them back into her brief case before shoving the broken brief under her arm. In disgust she fished in her leather Gucci handbag for her car keys... They were gone. Eve tutted again as she realized she must have left them in the classroom. But then she remembered she had locked up the classroom so she must have dropped them on her way out.
Sure enough her keys were lying on the corridor floor. Eve stopped when she saw them, smiled and shook her head. She looked flushed and agitated it was her birthday and she scolded herself for letting silly things get to her. All she wanted to do was get into her car and drive home into the loving open arms of her husband.
With a giggle of disbelief at the recent evens she walked over, bent down and lifted her keys....

A good few hours later from the time Eve had left for work that morning, Billie, Adrienne, Mike, Tre had everything ready for Eve's birthday party, and the Jasons had arrived with the sound system. They were just as eager as Billie, Mike and especially Tre to get the party started. As Tre was putting the cling film covered food out onto the large tables set about the foyer he heard a huge crash from somewhere in the living room, he spun around and saw Billie frozen to the spot an opened beer in one hand and a party banner lying loosely in the other he was looking at the floor in the living room. Mike had let go of the helium balloons in fright and turned around to stare in the same place Billie was. The Jason's were in the living room and where setting up the sound system in front of the bay windows. The room seemed darker now that the huge speakers blocked out some of the daylight.
"What the hell was that?" Tre gasped, realizing he had been holding his breath. He set down the tray he was holding in expectation and walked through the living room door sliding passed Billie as he did so.
"Aww crap... " Tre muttered as he noticed the empty spot on the wall, he rounded the couch and saw Eve's huge black and white, professionally taken, expensive portfolio photograph lying on the floor. The frame was cracked and the glass broken, behind the glass was the beautiful woman who's picture had been scratched by the shards. Small shards of glass were lying around the left eye and it reminded Billie Joe of tears, he shrugged it of and went to fetch a dust pan.
"Damn... She ain't gonna be happy about that. So who's hungry? What time is it?" Tre asked his friends. Jason White turned to inspect the time.
"Ah... Dude... Your mantle clock has stopped doing its cool swinging thing," Jay White observed.
"Oh shit, that was Eve's mom's wedding present if it's broken I'm getting the blame... " Tre said worriedly examining the clock and everyone laughed.
A good fifteen minutes later the guests started arriving on time. Billie Joe let Adrienne go home and change as she wanted to be dolled up. The wives and family of the Jason's arrived and Tre showed the kids into the playroom in which Ramona and Frankito took up play. Friends and family some famous some not arrived and began drinking champagne. It was like the dinner party for the awards ceremonies they went to. Everyone where dressed in fancy gowns and drinking gracefully from champagne flutes. A magician turned up and Tre let him in the open dining room to occupy the kids. He'd also hired a bouncy castle outside and covered up the swimming pool for everyone's safety.
At six o'clock Tre announced that Eve would be home any minute and they all dashed into their hiding places. Tre was in between Billie Joe and Mike, Adrienne on Billie's left. They watched over the couch through a gap aside the speaker for the same light blue Volvo.... Nothing.... Still nothing.
"Tre are you sure she's coming back at this time?" Billie muttered.
"Yeah she said she'd be home at around six!" Tre gasped at his friend.
Mike turned to Tre and looked embarrassed as he tried to put his words right, "Hey man, I just wanted to say that.... Well....well"
"Spit it out already?" Tre said laughing.
"Well I just wanted to say I'm proud of you, for finally settling down with the right person!" Mike said earnestly and proudly clapping his friend on the back.
Billie chipped in immediately letting his hand rest on Tre's shoulder, "Yeah me too man!"
Suddenly one of the Jason's yelled from his hiding place from behind one of the speakers, "Yeah man, I heard that, me too!"
Jason Freese seconded White's motion, "Yeah me three!"
"Me four," Adrienne said quietly patting Tre's knee.
Tre smiled to himself and nodded thankfully to his best friends, he turned back to the window and sighed, all Tre had to do now; was wait..........
"Okay let's proceed with surgery," Dr Ramey insisted as he went in through the thick blood and flesh he froze when he noticed something.
