"Relax, I've Got You.", chapter 2

No One's P.O.V.

"You ok Songbird?" Billie asked her. She nodded and leaned against the wall.

"Meh, coffee sounds good," Mike said. Billie shook his head, "we can't Mike, and we're next." Mike groaned and Songbird, out of nowhere, pulls a coffee from behind her back.

"Mmm, I love coffee," Mike said as he took a sip. Kirsten laughed and put her arms loosely around Billie's shoulders. She winked at him and Billie blushed. The choir teacher was looking frantically around for her two missing people.

"Michael Pritchard and Billie Joe Armstrong!" she yelled, frantic, looking around the teenagers and saw a girl and Mike sharing a coffee and Billie Joe with a girl with her arms around his shoulders. The two boys turned their attention to her and shuffled after her, leaving the girls with a wide-eyed expression. Their choir teacher was nowhere to be seen but everyone else was there and they ran to where they were performing.

"They sound pretty good," Songbird said to Kirsten, she agreed with a nod. Mike and Billie looked around for Songbird and Kirsten but were blinded by the light. Mike and Billie were right by each other, they couldn't be separated. They sang their songs, which were positively dorky and old.

"You guys did pretty good," Songbird said to them as Billie's phone started to vibrate. It was their other friend, who wasn't in choir, Tre' Cool. Mike looked at the phone and motioned for Billie to hand him the phone, Mike answered.

"Hello?" he asked. The voice of Tre' Cool filled everyone's ears as Mike put him on speakerphone.

"Heeeeeeeelllllloooo!" the voice screamed out. The girls flinched while everyone else laughed. "Mike, Billie, you have girls there, I can tell they're hot girls, I want to talk to them!" he yelled out. Mike looked at Songbird and she nodded and started talking to Tre'. Her eyebrows lifted every once in a while when Tre' said something random but she came back with something sarcastic.

"So... who's are you?" Tre' asked Songbird.

"Um excuse me?" she asked, sort of offended.

"Yeah, are you Mike's or Billie's?" he asked again.

"I'm not livestock but the person that I'm going with is Mike," she said while looking over at Mike and smiled. Mike smiled back at her and he took the phone from her.

"And no Tre', don't even think about taking her from me!" he laughed. Tre' was disappointed, he liked Songbird, she was funny, but he decided against it since Mike was his best friend. Billie grabbed the phone from him and looked at the time, no point going back to school, it was already finished. "Tre', we're going to Rod's Hickory Pit ok? Meet us there and then you can met the girls."

"Girls! You only let me talk to one and there's more? Tell them to bring a friend, see ya Jillie Boe!" Billie groaned at the nickname Tre' had given him and disconnected. Kirsten looked at him, "let me guess, we're going to a place called Rod's Hickory Pit?" she asked and he nodded. She kissed his cheek and they all headed out, but they had to tell their teachers first (so they don't go on the missing persons list.)

Everyone arrived there with the surprising scene of Tre' sitting down, and being quiet. Mike put his hand on Songbird's hip and sat next to him in a booth. Tre' was taken back because everyone had arrived quickly and he smiled at the two new girls.

"Hello pretty ladies, I'm the one and only Tre' Cool, no point in introducing the other two losers since you already know who they are."

Songbird giggled, Kirsten scoffed and rolled her eyes while Billie and Mike glared at Tre'. Billie Joe pulled Kirsten's chair closer to him and put his arm around the back of the chair, Kirsten gazed at him and he stared back, a comfortable silence overtook the table. Songbird and Mike were busy combing and smoothing each other's hair. Tre' was occupied with a little game that was at the table and the other two were still staring at each other.

Their food finally came and they had while talking, but Songbird didn't seem big into the conversation. Instead she hummed a song to herself. "What song are you singing?" Mike whispered into her ear. She looked up at him and sang softly in his ear.

He smiled and kissed her softly. Tre' was staring at them, scarred by the lies that he had dealt with in this day's past time. He stared attentively at his food and tried not to pay attention to the couple. When they break up, I'm going to take my chances,he thought to himself. Yet he didn't know that in the future, this relationship was taking a serious twist, good or bad? Who knows until the next chapter.
