"Tell me who you love!", chapter 4

"Billie, I really do like you, I love you, but as a friend. I'm really sorry. This isn't the right time" Cassie lied. She stood up and pushed past the crowd, a tear rolling down her cheek. She could see Tre in pain over the other side of the room. Tre. What was she going to do about Tre? She didn't know at the time, but she did know that she had to leave. Move schools.

*Writers P.O.V*
Ok, so basically readers, Cassie did move school and never saw Billie or Tre again. She didn't know why she did it at the time. Now it's the year 2006, and Cassie is 33 years old. She is a single mum, her husband had died in a car crash and she has two children, both twins. Her children are 14 years old, called Melissa and Ali. So, Cassie hasn't seen Billie or Tre in 18 years, that is up until her children started getting into music and started liking one particular band...

"But why can't I go to their concert mum? You know Billie Joe is my idol, and it would be my dream to see him in the flesh!" Cassie's daughter Melissa wined.
"Because I said so, I can't afford things like that" Cassie lied. She couldn't take Melissa and Ali to a Green Day concert; she couldn't face Billie and Tre again. But she couldn't tell her children, who were in love with them, that they were once her best friends.
"This isn't fair!" Melissa shouted.
"Just drop it Melissa, you're not going and that's final" Cassie ordered, turning the volume up on the TV to drown out Melissa's moaning. Melissa just got in a huff and stormed upstairs, slamming her bedroom door behind her.

A week later, Ali and Melissa were still moaning about going to see their favorite band.
"Mum, please please please please please please!" Ali pleaded.
"No!" Cassie shouted, bending down to pick up some post. She sifted through them until she came to one addressed to Melissa.
"Melissa! Post for you!" Cassie shouted up the stairs. Melissa soon came rushing down them and grabbed the letter out of her mum's hands.
Cassie watched her daughters face, as it grew more excited by the second.
"Yes!" Melissa shouted, waving three bits of paper in the air.
"What is it?" Cassie asked.
"We're going to see Billie, as in Green Day!" Melissa shouted, jumping up and down.
"But I already said I can't afford it, so you're not going" Cassie said.
"No, mum I entered for a competition to go and see Green Day, at there concert and back stage, and I won!" Melissa squealed.
Cassie's insides turned over. She couldn't let them see them could she? But it would be horrible, for them not to go after they've won a competition to see their dream band.
Great, just great, it'll be simple; I'll just avoid going back stage, that's all. Yeah it was all going to be simple...
