"Normal? What is this...Normal?", chapter 5

-recap-
The girls just found out the identity of the guy that Rhiannon saved in the corral ring.
-end of recap-

*Still Tre's Point of View*

I looked at them, confused. Shianne, Kelsey, and Lexi all opened their mouths to say something, but Rhiannon pulled them all away before they could. Huh. Guess they know about Green Day. That's actually kind of too bad...

*Rhiannon's Point of View*

Okay. I really don't want my friends to freak out. That would be really, really, really bad. Like. REALLY bad. I looked at them, shocked at the news, and realized that they were all going to try to say something. Fuck. I grabbed their arms and pulled them away before they could.
"Hey-"
"What-"
"Whoa-" all my friends started, but I whipped them all around to face me.
"Guys..." I warned, looking them in the eyes. Shianne and Lexi weren't that bad, they hardly even liked Green Day. But Kelsey and I were MEANT to freak out. I mean, OH MY GOD. IT'S TRE COOL. OH. MY. GOD. I had liked Tre /a lot/ since grade nine, when Kelsey showed me the musical light that is Green Day. And Kelsey, well, Kelsey loved Mike. LOVED him. And in her theory, where there is Tre, there is Mike. I had to keep the nuclear explosion to a minimum.
"PLEASE. Please don't freak out." By now, I was looking only at Kelsey, because I could see the asanine joy in her smile, which was probably plastered all over my face too. Shianne and Lexi agreed quickly, actually kind of bored. But Kelsey took a little longer.
"...Okay," she finally agreed, and I smiled. I would freak out inside my head, but keep all relatively teenie-esque words locked inside. I walked back to Tre, blushing a bit.

"Uhm. Sorry about that, it's just..."
"You like Green Day."
I looked up at him, a little stunned. Then smiling, I nodded. "You guys are my favorite band." I giggled, and he joined in as my friends walked over.
I was glad to see that they kept teenieness to a minimum, but still asked for his autograph (Well, come ON. It's TRE. HOMG.), and we hung out with him for a while. Finally, each of my friend's cell phones rang, and they reluctantly went to the parking lot to be picked up by their parents.
"See you, Rhi," Shianne said, giving me a quick hug and stepping quickly out to the door. She had recieved the numbers of two of the college-age guys, so she was satisfied.
"Bye hun," Lexi said, pulling me into a hug. While she was so close, she whispered into my ear, "PHR." and it was all I could do to not snort. As soon, she too was gone from the white tent.
Kelsey looked at me, then Tre, then me again, raising an eyebrow as she stood. "See you, E.K.," she said, nodding at me and walking back outside.
