Unexpected Children Form the Unsuspecting Past, chapter 5
There, in the doorway, stood the only man I ever loved.
Micheal James Way.
And some girl. That's not even the worst part. They were holding hands.
"Hey Gerard. We're b-Who are you?" Mikey cut himself off as his gaze feel on me and Eve, who was still sleeping. I froze. Gerard realized this and answered for me.
"This is Veronica. She's... er... An old friend from college." It was a hasty excuse but it would do for now.
"Oh. I'm Mikey. And this is my girlfriend, Adriane." He lifted up their inter-twinded fingers to show me and I visibly flinched. Gerard glanced at me and thankfully Mikey didn't notice. Adriane did though and she glared at me.
She must some how know that I have a past with her boyfriend.
"Hey," My voice was a mere whisper and to anyone, other than Gerard, would sound like I was being shy. The truth was that if I spoke any louder, my voice would crack and I didn't want that to happen.
The couple walked into the bunk area and Gerard put his arm around my waist in an effort to comfort me. It didn't work.
Eve stirred and yawned, something she always did before she fully woke up. I pulled myself together and Gerard wiped away tears that I didn't know had fallen. The little girl sat up in my lap and turned around to hug me. Another thing she did when she awoke.
"Don't I get a hug?" Gerard lightened the previous mood so that Eve wouldn't think I was sad.
Although I am.
Eve, who was rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, smiled and shook her head 'no.' Gerard mock-glared at her.
"Okay. You asked for it." Gerard took her out of my lap and she started squirming. Only a day with him and she could anticipate what he was going to do next. Eve shrieked as Gerard began tickling her small form.
"M-mommy! Haha-hewp me! Hahaha!" Eve grinned and I could tell she didn't want help. Suddenly, everyone came in at once. The rest of My Chemical Romance (Mikey included), Mikey's girlfriend, and even Green Day.
"Uh..." Ray took one look at us and continued. "Um, we brought dough nuts." Eve shot out of Gerard's reach and lunged at the doughnuts. I swear she takes after Tre. She missed and hit Bob's leg.
"That's what I did, too!" Tre laughed at Eve's attempts, along with everyone else. "But I hit Mike, not Bob."
Yup, she takes after Tre all right.
Eve tugged on Frankie's (He was holding the dough nuts.) pant leg and looked up at him with obviously fake tears in her eyes. He was about to give in when I interrupted.
"You can have one after dinner, sweetie."
"But-" Eve started to whine but I cut her off.
"Remember what happened last time? I gave you a dough nut before you ate and you ended up eating half a dozen and wasn't hungry." She grinned evilly.
"What happened?" Mikey's question took me by shook so Billie decided to tell him.
Flashback
"Guys! I'm home!" I yelled through the house that I shared with Green Day. I heard them practicing in the basement. As I walked down the stairs, I saw Eve in a superman costume. "Well, you've finally corrupted my daughter. No dough nuts for you." They all stared at me wide-eyed.
Eve raced past me, soon followed by Tre. Mike and Billie knew not to mess with them when it came to food.
"I shouldn't have said that, should I?" They shook their heads. I sighed and walked slowly up the stairs. When I reached the kitchen, it was like a tornado hit. The stuff I bought lay spread out on the counter and the two boxes the doughnuts were in open on the floor, next to my relatives. Both of them empty.
"You ate two dozen doughnuts in 3 minutes? That must be a new record for you. I don't know if I should be proud, or disgusted." The scene was vaguely amusing and I knew I would make the guys clean it up. To make things even more interesting, Eve and Tre were both playing with sporks and rubber chickens. Can you say hyper much?
Billie and Mike appeared behind me and we erupted into laughter at the site that lay before us.
"Um... What are you doing?" Mike inquired.
"Havin' a war to see who will rule the world. Sporks or rubber chickens." Tre replied. He was the one playing with the rubber chickens. Eve had the sporks.

"... And for the rest of the day they were chasing each other around with rubber chickens and sporks." Billie concluded.
