"What An Asshole You Are Billie"-sequal to "you may not see me but im always with you Adrienne", chapter 17
*Back at the table, Adrienne's P.O.V*
"Billie, I want to go home" I say as soon as I get back to the table.
"Ok, how's Tre?" he asks.
"A little emotional."
"The next 3 days before we leave, we'll spend them together" Billie says, talking to Mike.
"Ok, see you guys" he says, kissing me on the cheek and patting Billie on the back.
We walk out of the pub and I inhale deeply as we step into fresh air.
"I knew they would understand" Billie says on the car on the way home.
"Mm" I agree, thinking of Tre. I feel Billie's hand snake its way on top of mine.
The next 3 days are spent, packing, laughing and talking together as Billie, me, Joey and Jakob prepare for England.
"We're off to England! We're off to England!" Jakob cheers in the car on the way to the airport. Billie's driving, with Mike sat next to him and Tre, me, Jakob and Joey are all squished in the back.
When we arrive at the airport everybody tries to act happy, putting on brave faces.
"Right, we have 15 minutes until we need to board the plane" Billie states, putting down his big suitcase. I link arms with Billie for support and look over to Tre and Mike, who are chatting happily to Joey and Jakob.
Billie looks at me and smiles. "I love you Adie" He says softly, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear and looking into my eyes. I smile back at him and give him a peck on the cheek before heading over to the guys.
"Calm down you two" I warn Joey and Jakob, who are now chasing each other around the chairs.
"I'll miss that" Mike says. It's the first negative comment anyone's made today.
"Yeah" Tre agrees.
"Come on guys, I don't want to leave on a sad note" Billie protests, playfully whacking each of us on the head. A voice starts to crackle over the intercom, signally for our flight to board the plane. My stomach churns over. This is it.
"I'll see you soon" Billie says, hugging Mike and Tre together. I hold onto Joey and Jakob's hands.
"I hope everything works out for you guys" Mike says, wiping a tear from his face.
"Thanks" Billie says.
"Nooooo" Jakob suddenly wails, flinging his arms around Tre. He's grown to Tre a lot recently.
"Hey little dude, I'll see you around soon!" Tre lies. Jakob sobs, giving Tre one last hug before plodding back over to me, clinging onto my hand tightly.
Mike walks over, giving Joey and Jakob a kiss on the head.
"See you guys" he says, ruffling their hair. He looks up at me. "I'll miss you Adie" he says quietly, giving me a kiss on the cheek and a hug.
"Bye Mike" I say sadly.
We all walk over to the correct gate and hand our passports over before saying one last goodbye. I smile at Tre and he runs over to me, flinging his arms round my neck.
"Don't leave me" He sobs quietly.
"I have to"
I hug him hard, squeezing my eyes to prevent tears escaping them.
"This is it. See you guys" Billie says.
"Bye" they chorus. We turn around and walk down the walk way, our suitcases at hand.
It seems as if the walk way is never ending, the door at the other end not getting any closer. I turn back one last time to see Mike waving feebly and Tre staring back at me, tears down his face.
I look at Billie who doesn't look concerned at all. Then I remember how he lied to me. How do I know he wouldn't do it again?
That's when it hits me, do I even love Billie anymore?
I drop my suitcase and run back down the walk way as fast as I can, ignoring the tears streaming down my face.
"Adie!" I hear Billie shout behind me but I just ignore it and keep running. Murmers and moans come from people as I push them out of the way. My eye contact never broken from Tre. He's still stood there, staring back at me with an expressionless face.
*Tre's P.O.V*
"Adie, what the fuck are you doing, you'll miss your flight!" I say flustered as her arms go flying round me.
"I don't give a shit about the flight! I'm so sorry Tre, I really am. I never meant to hurt you" She sobs, squeezing me hard.
"Adie, you've got to go back. You can't do this now" I say sternly, looking behind me to see Billie walking down the walkway with Joey and Jakob in toe.
"No Tre, I want you. You're the one I want! I want this baby with you and you only" She explains.
I look at her and pull her close, giving her a kiss. She responds by kissing me passionately, her hand holding the back of my head.
"You're the one I love Tre"
I hold her, hugging her tightly, looking over her shoulder to Billie where he is stood, staring back, eyes brimming with tears.
Finally, the words I've always wanted to hear have been said.
