You bleed just to know you're alive (sequel to The one he would help), chapter 2

"What is she doing here now?!" Tre said. He would've thought he would be happy if he saw Lina again, but the only thing that he felt was anger.
He didn't want to think about the past, not now, when Mike had disappeared. He wanted to find Mike, not an old friend. If that was what she had been.

"I don't know Tre, and I don't really care right now" Billie answered. He sat down on the sofa. Suddenly the door opened and Adrienne came in.

"Oh my god, the neighbour just told me" she said, and ran over to her husband. She sat down beside him and let her hand run through his messy, black hair.

"Have the cops told you anything yet?"

Billie shook his head sadly. It wouldn't be so bad of he knew something. Just sitting here knowing nothing at all was almost unbearable. Adrienne looked worried too. Mike was the one she could talk to if she didn't have any female nearby. She had tried to talk with Tre once, but that conversation had turned to talking about poop. She never knew how that had happened. Since what she wanted to talk about often was about her husband, she couldn't talk to Billie.
The doorbell rang. The ring echoed through the quiet house.

"I'll get it," Tre said and walked to the door. He opened and the police officer stood outside. Tre stepped aside and let him in.
Both of them walked into the living room.

"Now, can you please tell us what's going on?" Adrienne asked.

"Well, everyone who was nearby when it happened seems to have fallen into a coma, and can't tell us anything."

"When what happened? Where is Mike?"

The officer took a breath.

"Mike Dirt has been kidnapped, and we don't know by who. They had some very high technology, I don't event think NASA knows what it is. We don't really have much choice. We'll have to wait until someone sends us a message about a ransom or something."

Billie put his head in his hands and shrugged loudly. He didn't want to wait. In this moment his friend could be in the worst pain, or... He didn't think the word. What if Mike was gone now. What if no one sent a message?

*

Tre was dreaming. It seemed like every time something was happening he began to dream.
But now it was one of the nightmares that not really were dreams again.
Lina was standing in front of him, small drops of blood running from her eyes. She was saying something, but Tre couldn't hear what she said. He moved closer. Then he heard the words that came out of her mouth.

Billie's cell phone rang. It was only 3 am. Billie picked it up.

"Hello?" he said with a sleepy voice.

"Billie?" Tre's voice was scared.

"Tre? Why are you calling in the middle of the night?" Billie didn't notice how scared his mate sounded.

"I had a dream again."

Billie sat up in bed, suddenly awake.

"What kind of dream?"

"I think Lina know where Mike is."
