"Mr. Pritchard?"
I heard some one waking me.
"Mr. Pritchard."

I groaned as some one gently shook me. My head pounded and the world spun before me. I felt like I got hit my truck. I slowly opened my eyes to see a man in a white robe looking at me. I saw someone else behind him. I seemed to be in a hospital bed.
"He's awake!" the man called to the other person. I groaned again, my head was killing me.
"Mike! Are you ok?" I heard a familiar voice like an echo. I saw Billie, except I saw two of him.
"Billie?" I started. I was aching all over, I felt like I just threw up all my guts, my head was pounding, black dots starting blinding my vision, my ears were plugged, I started to fell myself pass out...
"Mike?" asked Billie, but I was out.
"He's unconscious." The man said.

"Man, I don't think I've ever seen Mike like this before." Billie said, worried.
"Well, you did say it was the first time he's got hit car, right?" the man asked. All the sudden Tre burst in.
"MIKE GOT HIT BY CAR!" He screamed.
"Shut up, this is a hospital remember?" Billie yelled at Tre.
"But Mike got hit by car! We gotta get to the hospital! Come on!" Tre was about to run out the door.
"But this is the hospital, and Mike's right here, you idiot!" Tre stopped and looked back. Then he looked around, and back at Billie.
"I knew that! I was just testing you in an emergency situation!" He said cleverly.
"Right."
"Anyway, what happened?" Tre asked as walked up to see me. I was still unconscious.

"Remember when he went to get coffee?"
"Yep."
"Well, someone found out he was Mike Dirnt, and a group of teenies chased him out into the street and bam."
"Wow," said Tre, even though it was a likely story, "Were there any witnesses?" Billie just looked at him.
"No, even when he was hit in a busy intersection, during fucking rush hour, in New York City." He said sarcastically.
"I was just asking!" nagged Tre.
"We have the traffic light's video camera." Offered the man.
"It was caught on tape?" Tre asked amazed.
"Yah, how do you think you get your red light runner and speeding tickets threw the mail?" Billie said.
"So that's how they do it," Tre thought, "Evil traffic lights!"

The man, which was the doctor, showed Tre the video. It displayed a busy New York City Intersection during rush hour from high above. All the sudden there was a disturbance in a crowd of people on the far right of the screen. A tall guy with dark hair, wearing jeans and a black jacket that said 'break the status quo' in white letters dashed across the street. The doctor paused the tape.

"That's Mr. Pritchard," he said pointing to the guy, "Now observe this car." He pointed to a compact car on the street perpendicular to the one Mike was crossing. The car lunched forward, full speed and made a left turn. At that moment the car smashed into Mike'sright side throwing him across the street like a rag doll. There was some car horns blaring and there was even a five car pileup down the street. Tre was left in shock.

"HOLY CRAP!..." Tre was speechless.
"He took a hard one... " said the doctor.
"Should we try waking him up again?" asked Billie.
"No, I think we should give him some rest first, and then we'll wake him up and take some x-rays." the doctor told them.
"Well, will he be ok?" asked Tre.
"Only time will tell."
