Haushinka, chapter 3
I started walking around my room till I came to the conclusion that I was jealous. Why was I jealous? I was in love with Tre'. I realized I neded to talk to Adie. After everyone had left, I went up to her and Dad's room and talked with her.
"Adie?" I said walking into her room.
"Yeah?" She said loking up at me.
"I need to talk to you." I said, walking towards her bed and sat down.
"What's on your mind?" She asked sitting down next to me with a smile.
"I'm in love with-" I said. Tre' busted through the door.
"Hey, you're not going to believe what Billie just did!" Tre' said smiling. Apparently he hasn't left.
"-Tre'." I whispered only loud enough for Adie to hear. Adie looked shocked.
"Tre' come back later." Adie said. Tre' left and Adie looked at me. "Okay, what?!" She asked me.
"It all started at the park when only me and Mike went. Well, we were arguing and he leaned in and kissed me! Not just a tender-kiss, a make-out kiss! He told me he loved me and I didn't feel the same so I ran home. I then realized I was in love with Tre'. Now I'm jealous of Mike's wife because she married him. So now I think I'm in love with Mike and Tre' at the same time. That's why Mike got ticked at me and Tre' being together." I said to Adie, while walking around her room. We weren't paying attention to who was at the door.
"You what?!" Dad heard the whole conversation and was now ticked. "I'm going to kill Mike for that!" He started downstairs.
"No! You can't." I held his arm, preventing him to go any farther.
"Wow, this is weird." Adie said.
Two weeks passed and Dad started treating Tre' and Mike differently. It finally came to the point to where Dad and Tre' got into a fight. They were hanging around in the practice room when it started.
"Hey, Billie, can I take Haushinka to the movies later for her birthday?" Tre' asked my Dad.
"No." Dad said to him.
"Why not?" Tre' asked.
"Cause I said no!" Dad said back.
"You never said no before." Tre' said.
"But I'm saying no now." Dad said, a little irritated.
"Why?" Tre' asked. This went on for quite a while. Finally Dad got really irritated.
"Because she loves you! And I know you Tre', you take advantage of anyone you want to! And that's not happening to her! She's not getting her heart broken!" Dad screamed at Tre'.
"You really think I would do that to her? Billie, she's my best friend!" Tre' said and paused for a moment. "Did you just say she loved me?" Tre' asked. Dad just nodded his head.
Tre' sat there for a moment. He jumped up from the drumset and ran to find me. He busted through my door and stopped. I looked at him. He walked up fast to me and kissed me. We stood there kissing for what seemed for eternity. We finally broke apart and just stood there staring at each other.
"What does this mean?" I asked him.
"It means...your Dad is wrong!" Tre' said to me.
"Okay, are we a couple?" I asked him.
"Yes!" He said picking me up and swinging me around. Adie walked in.
"Oh my, um, I'll come back later." Adie said and walked out. Tre' and I looked at each other and went after her.
"Adie, Adie, it's okay, we're together!" Tre' and I both said at the same time.
"Oh, my. Does Billie know?" She asked us.
"Err, no. I guess we can tell him at dinner." I said. Tre' nodded.
"Well Mike, and his wife will be over for dinner too, so then the whole group will know." Adie said with a smile.
Tre' and I smiled at each other and waited for dinner. Mike and his wife showed up and we were in the middle of dinner when Tre' and I announced it.
"Um, well Tre' and I have some news." I said with a smile. Adie smiled at us and Dad gave us a death look.
"What's the news?" Mike asked with a sad expression on his face.
"Well, it's official, Tre' and I are a couple!" I said beaming. Dad dropped his fork and looked disgusted. Adie's smile faded, and Mike looked sadder than ever.
"Excuse me." Mike said and got up from the table. His wife followed him.
"I can't believe you!" Dad screamed at Tre' and left the table. Adie followed him. Back at the table we could hear Dad and Adie fight.
"Joey, Jake, go to your room." Tre' said to the boys.
"I guess it wasn't such a good idea to tell them." I said looking down.
"Screw them. Who cares what they think." Tre' said looking at me.
That night I went to bed pretty early and just laid there thinking about that whole night. Dad walked into my room.
"Look, I'm sorry. It's just that, it's...Tre'!" Dad said to me.
"It's okay." I said looking at him.
" I just can't imagine..." Dad said shaking his head.
"How's Mike?" I asked.
"He's fine, he left after he got up from the table." Dad said looking at me. "Well, good night." He said and left.
"Good night." I said and turned out the light.
The next few weeks were great! Finally, I was with a guy I loved. After the dinner incident, I really didn't see much of Mike. Until one day, Mike came over. We were left alone in the band room.
"So...how are you doing?" I finally asked Mike after a moment of akward silence.
"I'm fine, how are you?" Mike asked me.
"I'm fine. How is your wife?" I asked him.
"She's fine, she's pregnant." Mike said with a smile.
"Oh." I said looking down.
"Mike, Sheena, will you get me the cable and the amp out of the closet?" Dad asked us from the other room. He had started calling me 'Sheena' as a nickname.
"Okay." I called back and started towards the closet.
"Um, I'll get the amp." I said to Mike.
"Okay." He said back.
Somehow in the process of getting the amp and the cable, we got stuck. At first we kind of laughed it off. Then we got stuck again. We smiled and then ended up getting stuck again! We stared at each other for about five seconds till we were all over each other. The whole time, I thought of Tre', but this felt so right. We were so busy making-out with each other that we didn't realize the door open...
"Adie?" I said walking into her room.
