You're So Last Summer, chapter 5
I woke up because of the sunshine coming in my window. I looked around and saw I was on my couch and I looked up and saw Adam asleep with his arm around me! I tried moving around some, to not wake him up, but that failed terribly.
"Sorry did I wake you up?" I asked as I saw Adam rub his eyes.
"No you didn't wake me. When did you get up?" Adam asked.
"Just a minute ago," I said.
"Oh," Adam said.
Adam looked into my eyes and kissed me again. I kissed him back.
"Blaine, uh I REALLY like you, but I don't want to hurt you because I'm gone all the time," Adam said holding my hand.
"I know, its okay you wouldn't hurt me, but I don't want to put you in that kinda position," I said tearfully.
"Don't cry, I mean when I come back and stuff we can always hang out you know?" Adam said as he wiped my eyes dry.
"I know, I guess it would be weird things like this don't happened a lot and..." I said as my voice trailed off as Adam kissed me.
"Sometimes things are supposed to happen, I have to go, I'll try and call you," Adam said.
"Okay," I cried. Adam kissed me, wiped my tears, and left. I looked around my apartment for no reason. I looked at the TV and Garden State was still on, must have hit a button to make it come on again. I looked out the window and saw Adam walking down the street and turn around and look at my window. I sat down and cried, I liked him not because he was in a band, but because he was a really nice guy. I went over to the couch and sat down, I felt something underneath me and saw that Adam left his jacket. I held on to the jacket for a few minutes, then I set it down on my dinner table. I went and took a shower and changed into a cleaner pair of clothes. I decided I would go to the store and work a few hours with Lillian for some extra money. I walked up the street; I was wearing a Circa Survive shirt, and jeans.
"Hey Lilly," I said.
"Hey Laine, how was your hot date with Lazzara?" Lilly asked.
"Let's just say we won't be seeing much of each other for a while," I said.
"He likes you so he won't be with you so he doesn't hurt you?" Lilly asked.
"How did you? Yeah," I said.
"It happens I guess," Lilly said as she put up the UnderOath CDs. Seize The Day came on as I put up my coat. I loved the song but it just had to come on when I felt like crap.
I sat up at the front desk looking over when new shipments of CDs came in. I heard someone come in but I didn't look up, I did look up when someone was standing in front of me, it was Adam.
I stood up out of my chair. "What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Blaine you said things like this never happen, and I would be stupid if I let this go." Adam said and kissed me. I kissed him back for another five minutes, everything felt right.
"You so just stole that from Garden State!" Lillian said laughing from the back.
"It worked didn't' it?" Adam said looking into my eyes.
"Yeah," I said. I leaned back and my hand must have pushed the button on the cd player and then The Fray's "Over My Head" came on. Sometimes it's cool how a song is so perfect for the moment, then it just gets annoying.
"Sorry did I wake you up?" I asked as I saw Adam rub his eyes.
"No you didn't wake me. When did you get up?" Adam asked.
"Just a minute ago," I said.
"Oh," Adam said.
Adam looked into my eyes and kissed me again. I kissed him back.
