"NY Royalty I think it's called. You?"
"Yeah, something like that," Mike said. "It's across the road from NY Style right?"
"Yeah! That's it! Major shopping mall, all styles from prep to punk," Sam exclaimed, her wonderful memory kicking into gear.
"We were going to go there as soon as we checked out the hotel," Billie Joe said. "Well I was anyway."
"Same! I seriously need to buy more clothes." Sam smiled. She always needed more clothes. "Are you guys going to the red carpet event in a few days?"
"Yup. Are you?" Tre asked and she nodded. From then on until the end of the flight, they talked non-stop.
"You may now get off the plane. Have a good time in New York," the captain said and suddenly their bodyguards were waiting for them in the aisle.
"Where is Tracey?" Sam asked her bodyguards.
"Hotel. Lets go." Sam grabbed her backpack and stood up and so did Green Day. When Sam stepped out of the aisle, Billie Joe put his arm out to stop the bodyguards. He walked out after her, wanting to place his hand on her back or waist, even her shoulders in a friendly way, but managed to control himself. The other two followed, then the bodyguards. Billie Joe spotted the van parked for Green Day.
"This way," he said, putting his hand on her back and pushing her gently and leading her towards the van. They all squashed in and they drove off. The bodyguards got in another van and followed them. Sam shifted in her seat, getting comfortable. She was literally wedged between Billie Joe and Tre. Mike was on the other side of Billie Joe. Why on earth do they keep on staring at me? Sam wondered.
"Can we go to NY Style please?" Tre asked the driver.
"Sure," the driver said and took a left turn.
"If you're going to try and sing with us, you're going to have to wear something else and you'll have to put this on," Billie Joe said and pulled out a tube of black eyeliner out of the side pocket of his backpack. Sam glanced at it and then took it out of his hand. She put it on while looking in the mirror in the car. She put on the same amount that they had on. She handed it back to him. They all smiled at her; she had just become so much more beautiful in all of their eyes.
"We are here," the driver said as he pulled up in the parking lot. The van with the bodyguards pulled up next to them. They got out of the car and walked through the mall, finally finding the right department.
"Whoa!" Sam stared around her. There was an endless amount of clothes everywhere. They were either all black or dark colors, but she felt like she belonged in here. Green Day led her over to the girl's side and picked out heaps of outfits for her, mainly in black. She tried them all on, and two hours later, she walked out with her new best mates and the best outfits she had ever seen, wore, than brought! They loaded the shopping bags into the back of the van and then drove across the road to NY Royalty. Sam saw her manager and told her she would stay with Green Day, and she could have her room.
"Whoa, 11 o'clock already!" Mike said as he saw the clock. He then flopped on one of the King beds. Sam yawned, realizing how tired she was. "Hey, Sam. Can we all call ya babe?"
"Whatever. Bed might be a good idea," she agreed as Mike closed his eyes. Tre jumped onto him, Mike swearing as he got a shock.
"Hey!" he yelled and tried to push him off. He soon got Tre off him and pushed him towards Billie Joe. Billie Joe grabbed Sam and put her in his position. He dived out of the way and Tre went straight into Sam, both of them falling down.
"Ow!" Sam realized that Tre was kind of heavy.
"Sorry." Tre paused then smiled. "Babe." Sam smiled and pushed him hard. He got off and Billie Joe offered his hand to Sam, but she ignored it. She stood up by herself and got knocked over again by Tre. The boys were just fooling around, and she didn't mind. Finally they settled down.
"Okay, tomorrow, we go to the rented building and do a few songs, see how good Sam is with us and even make up a new song," Billie Joe said. He was definitely the leader, already planning tomorrow.
"Right, Mr. Armstrong," Mike said and Sam giggled. Tre was making faces at Billie Joe behind his back and Billie Joe hadn't realized yet.
"Hey, it's not funny. It's just my last name," Billie Joe said.
"It's not your last name," Sam said shaking her head with a huge smile on her face as she looked down.
"What is so damn funny?" Billie Joe asked her and Mike started to smile too. He had realized. Billie Joe whipped around fast, but Tre was quicker and stopped.
"What? I think they've gone crazy too!" Tre quickly lied and Billie Joe slowly shook his head.
"Okay, bed." Mike took off his tops and pants and got in the bed he was still sitting on.
"Sam, can you hit the lights?" Billie Joe kept his eyes on her as she walked over to the light switch and hit it hard. The lights flicked off straight away.
"Thanks, babe." She saw Tre say thanks in the dim moonlight. She grinned to herself. Only her boyfriends had called her babe, never her friends that were boys, especially if they had only just met her that day.
"What do you wear to bed, babe?" Mike asked.
"T-shirt and shorts. What bed am I going in?" Sam replied.
"Mine." All three of them replied at the same time.
"Gee, that helps," Sam said sarcastically as she searched through the bags for the black and white striped short shorts she had brought. She found them and quickly changed, knowing the boys would barely be able to see her. She took off her jacket and socks. She felt someone put his arm around her shoulder.
"You can share with me," Billie Joe whispered. "In the nice, friendly, not boyfriend and girlfriend way."
"Thanks." Sam let herself be led away by Billie Joe and over to his bed. By midnight, they were all asleep, except Billie Joe who couldn't believe that he was sharing a bed with Sam Scott.
"Yeah, something like that," Mike said. "It's across the road from NY Style right?"
