You are always there .......no matter what, chapter 1
An eleven year old Billie Joe stared out his window and watched the world go by. His green eyes moved their, focus over to his next door neighbours house. He immediately saw his best friend Becky, who he had know since he was a baby, dancing listening to her radio. He smiled and then turned around and looked at his beloved blue.
The memories flooded back of his father's death. It was soon approaching the one year anniversary; he barely made it through last year. The pain tore him apart, the only reason he made it through was because of his family and Becky. Billie Joe sighed and wandered downstairs to the garden outside his front door.
As soon as he sat down he was pelted with a balloon filled with water. He yelled "Damn you, you fucker!" He shouted to his brother who threw the balloon out of his window.
Some people stared at Billie Joe; they couldn't believe an eleven year had just sworn out loud. He sat there drying out, he lay down, and he was soon joined by Becky.
"What happened to you?" she asked half laughing, half shocked
"My bastard of a brother," he replied, moaning.
"Do you want to half dinner at our house tonight?" she asked smiling
"Um, okay, what you having?" Billie sat up. He was starting to cheer up.
"I think we are ordering out for pizza," Becky pushed Billie Joe back down. He smiled at her. She pulled up by his hand. "Come on then," she said leading him into her house.
After they had finished eating Billie and Becky sat in Becky's room. Billie lay on her bed and watched Becky put her clothes away, which her mother had just washed.
"Billie what's wrong?" she asked sitting next to him.
"Huh?" Billie replied.
"You are acting different from normal...you are really quiet," Becky said laying down next to him.
"Just thinking about stuff"
"What stuff?"
"The future...I want to make a band..."
"Really? That's cool."
"Yeah you know that guy...um Mike in our class? He's been round a few times playing with me. I'm glad you introduced us."
"Anytime," she smiled
Billie Joe and Becky fell asleep watching a movie. Billie woke up with Becky in his arms. He put a blanket over her and left to go home. He kissed his hand and touched her cheek. Billie had always had 'special feelings' for Becky, but put it down to friendship. But he would soon learn that Becky will be an important part of his life in the future.
