You are always there .......no matter what, chapter 2
Becky woke the next morning yawning and stretching. She got up and got changed for school. She had a school routine in which she would get changed, eat her breakfast, brush her teeth and wait for Billie Joe and then they would walk to school together. Billie Joe woke early, and was unable to get to sleep. So instead he wrote a song. A song about his feelings...and his place in the world
Billie Joe got ready for school and walked next door to Becky's house. He was let in by Becky's mum. He went upstairs to find Becky doing her hair. He slowly pushed the door open and sat on her bed. Becky, who hadn't noticed him turned around. She saw Billie Joe and just simply smiled at him.
"You're early," she said gathering her books and placing them in her black school bag.
"I know I didn't sleep too well," Billie Joe said following Becky around the room with his eyes.
"Awww did baby have a nightmare?" asked Becky in a baby voice
"No mummy," he said grabbing her.
Billie pulled her down on to the bed and rolled on top of her. They both stopped laughing and shared a moment. This moment was unlike any they had shared before.... Billie stared into Becky's eyes while Becky stared into his. The moment was interrupted by Becky's mum shouting, "Come on kids you are gonna be late!"
Becky grabbed hers and Billie's bag and they left the house. There was an awkward silence shared between them. This lasted the entire walk to school. They both headed into their first lesson. Billie sat the entire lesson confused about recent events. He felt something he had never felt before.
"Hey Billie you wanna come over later and play some music?" asked Mike
"Um yeah um...ok," Billie said distracted
"Cool ok so I'll meet you after school!" Mike said happily
"Um Mike I wanna talk to you about something...I wanna start a band and I want you to be in it as a bass player!" Billie said snapping out of his confusion.
Mike smiled at him clearly happy at what Billie had just said. Billie felt a rush of excitement when he talked about the band. But he felt a rush of something else when he thought about Becky. He looked over at her once again and went back into his confusion. At that moment he got some inspiration and started to pen one of his first songs.
Becky exited the classroom after a hectic morning and got some lunch from the school cafeteria. She went and joined Billie Joe in 'their special place'.
"So um how has class been?" asked Billie trying to break the awkwardness that had developed between them.
"Fine I guess."
"Good."
"Billie um I need to talk to you about earlier," Becky said looking at him.
"Yeah what happen was um silly," Billie said, he had been practicing what to say if the subject arose
"Yeah silly," Becky said agreeing.
Billie looked away. That moment hadn't been silly to him he secretly wanted it to happen........ But he didn't know why.
