Maybe Perfection Is Me., chapter 7

Emmy's POV

"Yeah. I'm sorry. Thing's got out of hand, I understand. Let's go out but first I'm gonna apologize to Jason," I said and stood up then helped Sunny up and gave her another hug. "Jason," I said walking into the room and leaving Sunny out on the balcony. Jason turned towards me and closed the cabinet. "I'm so sorry Jason. I really am," I said and walked over to him. He pressed his lips against mine. Eric met us at the airport and we picked up Summer and Paitan then headed home.

"Mommy. Paitan told me she's getting a baby brother or sister. I want one too," Summer said and I looked up from my book and looked over at her.

"Why can't I have one?" she asked sitting on my lap.

"Well because. See...mommy and daddy aren't ready for another kid yet. We have you," I said and she frowned even more.

"But it's no fair!" she said jumping off my lap and facing me.

"Paitan will be able to play dress up and dolls with her little sister or brother but I won't be able to!" she yelled and stomped off past Jason.

"What's wrong with her?" he asked as she walked inside and slammed the door. We heard something fall off the wall and Jason said, "Summer Hailey White! Get out here!"

Summer came stomping out of the house and stood in front of Jason and me.

"What's up kiddo?" he asked picking her up and sitting her down in his lap.

She glared over at me and then said, "Mommy won't let me have a brother or sister."

"Sum, you have to understand, right now it's a bad time for me and mommy to have another kid," he said and she rolled her eyes.

"Then how come Auntie Sunny and Uncle Billie are having another baby?" she asked curiously.

"Because. It was their decision," I said and she looked at us then walked back into the house.

"Mmm...I love you," I said to Jason laying on top of him after putting Summer to bed.
"I love you too. It's been a long week," he muttered kissing me and putting his hands on my butt making me giggle.

"Yup. Really long. A lot of drama. We have too much drama," I mumbled and he kissed me.

"You guys leave next week for tour right?" I then smile leaving my voice. I heard my cell phone go off and I answered it.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Emily. Uh. Hey it's Gerard," I heard him say.

"Fuck. What do you want? Can't you just let it go?" I asked and Jason looked at me and I put my finger to my lip shushing him.

"I wanted to apologize to both of you guys. I'm just afraid to do it in person because I'm afraid of Jason, but I'm afraid of you too," he said and I felt a smile come across my lip.

"Alright. Well I'll put it on speaker phone so you can say sorry to Jason," I said and put the phone on speaker phone then sat it on the bed.

"Jason. I'm sorry. I'm a dickhead. I shouldn't have kissed her," Gerard said and Jason looked at me.

"Yeah...you've got that right. You're just lucky I don't know any hit mans," Jason said and I smacked his arm.

"So. Are we cool now?" Gerard asked and I looked at the phone then back to Jason.

"Sure. Whatever," Jason said and I smiled and shut the phone.

The Day before Jason Leaves for tour.

"How do you think she'll handle it?" Jason asked watching Summer run around in the living room. I looked at him and frowned.

"I dunno. She doesn't quite understand what tour is," I said to Jason and he frowned at me.

"Are you gonna bring her out to see me?" he asked and I nodded.

"Yup. Plus Sunny's going be working with us on this next album so she'll have Paitan to play with at the studio," I said and Jason nodded. He had been worried about leaving Summer because she was so attached to him.

"Mommy! Where's my doll?" Summer asked running into the kitchen. I picked her up and we walked off into her bedroom and I quickly found the doll she was looking for.

"I'm gonna miss you too," Jason said kissing my neck. I giggled and he smiled and leaned into kiss me. Summer ran into the room and made an audible ewe. I smiled at her.

"Let's go out for ice cream," Jason said picking up Summer who giggled.

"Can I get extra sprinkles on top?" she asked him and he nodded.

"What about 2 scoops? And extra chocolate?" she asked and he smiled.

"Sure. Think you can eat all that ice cream?" he asked and she nodded and giggled.

"Is mommy going?" she asked him.

"If she wants too. I'll talk to her while you go change," he said putting her down and I watched as she ran off to her room. Jason looked at me.

"Ya wanna go get some ICE CREAM?!" he asked me excitedly.

"Nah. You guys go. Spend some time with just her before you leave," I said and he smiled and nodded.

"Okay. Love ya," he said getting the keys and going out to start the car so I would be cool. I heard Summer come running down the stairs and into the kitchen.

"Can we go swimming when me and Daddy get back?" Summer asked me.

"Sure! If you want to. I'll have your swimsuit ready," I said and she smiled and Jason walked in.

"Bye Mommy!" Summer said and gave me hug and walked off.

"Bye, Babe. Love ya," Jason said giving me a kiss then walking out.

It was 6 AM the next morning and Jason was trying to get Summer dressed so we could go to the airport. I heard her run down the steps and Jason following with Summer giggling. Then I heard a loud noise, and walked into the living room. Jason was standing up. I looked at him and said, "Loser. It's not that hard to walk up and down steps." He smiled at me and Summer continued to giggle still running around in her pajamas. He snuck behind her and picked her up, she screamed and laughed at the same time.

"Daddy!" She yelled in surprise. He smiled at her and carried her upstairs.

A few minutes later Summer came back downstairs dressed in some actual clothes with Jason following behind carrying his luggage. I opened up the door for him and he kissed me. Summer and I walked out the door and I saw Jason putting his stuff in the trunk of my red BMW. I sighed and buckled Summer in then went around to the passenger side. Jason got in and started the car.

"NO! I want Daddy to stay here!" Summer said not letting go of Jason's neck.

"Baby, Daddy has to go to work. We'll see him in a few days," I said and tried to get Summer away from Jason but she had a death grip on him. She started crying and I knew that it must've made Jason feel really bad. Sunny was watching as I handled it.

"No!!!! He's not going anywhere! You promised you wouldn't leave!" she said crying and burying her face in his neck and Jason sat down his bag and wrapped both arms around her.

"I'll always be here, sweetie, but sometimes I have to go to work. You and Mommy are going to fly out and see me sometime soon," Jason said and Summer was still crying. He looked at me and sat down in one of the chairs with her arms still around him.

"I don't want you to go. Please stay here," she mumbled into Jason's neck and he kissed the top of her head.

"I know," he said and sighed, then continued, "but the sooner you let me go the quicker I'll be back, and then we can go get some ice cream."

She giggled and he wiped the tears off of her face.

"So, are you gonna let me go?" he asked her and she nodded and he stood up with her still attached to him.

"Bye, daddy. I love you," she said and gave him another hug. He smiled.

"I love you too. I'll call you and mommy every night," he said and gave her another hug before she wanted to be put down. He walked over to me.

"I love you. I'll see ya in 2 weeks," I said and he gave me a hug and kiss.

"2 weeks is a long time," he said and I giggled.

"You'll survive," I said still smiling. He frowned and gave Summer another hug before following everyone to the gate.

Sunny's P.O.V

I smiled at Paitan who covered Billie's face in kisses then hugged him, starting all over on the kissing spree as he stood up.

"Bye baby." He kissed her back, sat her down on the floor and she smiled, waved and promised to call him in five minutes, after she was done playing with Summer "She's sad Daddy. She needs me too." She promised, running off to hug Summer who waved bye-bye to her Daddy.

"Bye," I mumbled, looking down.

"Hey." He lifted my chin with his fingers and looked at my watery blue eyes. "I love you," he promised me.

"I love you too," I mumbled.

"What was that? I didn't quite hear it from your mumbling watery voice," Billie told me.

"I love you!" I exclaimed, then burst into tears as he wrapped his arms around me, letting me cry on his shoulder.

"I hate you," I mumbled, letting him wipe the tears away.

"No you don't." He smiled at me. "You love me, and I know you do. I get a call in five minutes, and I gotta get on that plane. I love you." Billie kissed my neck, letting me hug him again.

"I love you too." I kissed his cheeks then his neck and made my way up to his lips, finally settling into a long kiss that stirred the juices, I left, walking away, with Paitan quickly running up and taking my hand, blowing kisses at Billie and running to get the car before me.

"Mommy! Has it been five minutes yet?!" Paitan asked from the backseat.

"Nope, you have another minute sweetie," I told her.

"Why you watery, Mommy?" Paitan asked me.

"I'm not watery." I smiled back at her. "I'm...blubbery, like a whale!" I told her.

"Mommy? When does parker come home?" she asked me.

"We're going to get him right now," I told her. Parker had went to go get his yearly check up at the vet.

"Yay!" Paitan smiled at me as we pulled up at the veterinarian clinic. "Phone now Mommy? I miss Daddy," she said.

"Me too." I handed her the phone and let her dial the number, taking my hand up the steps.

"Parker!" she screamed when he ran out. "No Daddy, Parker's here. He says hello. No...I know Parker can't talk. Yes, I understand doggy. Daddy!" She giggled.

"Thanks." I smiled at the vet and attached the leash to Parker's collar, leading him and Paitan outside once more.

"Mommy...Daddy says he loves you," Paitan told me.

I quickly burst into tears, helping Parker in the car and trying to walk away so Paitan wouldn't be sad.

"Daddy!" She yelled at him. "Mommy's crying! Your fault!" she said mad, running up to me and hugging my legs.

"It's okay. Hormones. Mommy has hormones from the baby," I told her, patting her head and telling her to go get herself buckled in.

"Mommy!" Paitan screamed out her window. "Daddy wants to talk to you." She handed me the phone.

"Sorry," he mumbled.

"Not your fault. I'm fine." I sniffled and wiped my nose. "Listen, call us tonight. She misses you. I love you," I told him.

"I love you too baby," he mumbled then clicked off his phone.
