Living life to the full (in my own private suicide), chapter 2

Recap-

I soon fell asleep during 'Wake me up When September Ends'; it was a bad idea to do that, the song meant so much to me but if I listened to it before I slept, my dreams were haunted with nightmares.

-

The next day was Saturday, so I got to lie in bed as long as I wanted. I got up around 11:30, I pulled on my black drain pipes, my brothers battered old Ramones tee-shirt and my purple converse high tops. After applying at least six layers of eyeliner, I grabbed my bag and rushed downstairs. I tripped on the last few stairs.

"CRAP!!" I yelled.

I heard sniggers in front of me. Two girls were standing in front of me.

"Like, how much of like a loser is she?" laughed one of them.

"Get lost Jennie," I snapped getting up and flipping her off as I walked away.

I heard an indignant gasp. I smirked as I walked into the living room.

"Yoink!" I said as I pulled the remote out of another kid's hand.

"HEY!"

"You snooze, you loose," I shrugged.

I flipped over to the music channels.

"Ooh! Total Green Day!" I mumbled, turning it on.

"Green Day! Rockin'!" said Roy.

Okay I lied. There was one other person who I actually liked at the orphanage. My best friend, my ONLY friend. Roy. He was 15, only a few months older than me.

"Hey Roy," I said moving over so he could sit down, "'Sup in da hood yo?"

"I told you to stop saying that Rebel!" he laughed. I shrugged, grinning.

My grin fell off my face as I heard kissing noises from the door way. I turned around and glared at Jennie and her little clone Amelia.

"Hey like girls! Guess what?" said Roy putting on a high lispy accent.

"Like, what?"

"You are like total bitches!" he giggled, "So you should just you know like go fu..."

"Enough Roy!" said Charlie loudly walking in.

"Yes Charles," he smirked evilly.

"Never call me Charles," said Charlie, "Anyway, Rebel, kinda got some bad news."

"What?" I asked.

"I can't take you later, sorry," he said.

"What?! Why?" I screamed.

"Because you're going with Roy," he replied grinning.

"Huh?"

"Carla and I both agreed that you would be much happier going with Roy than me," he shrugged, "We think Roy is sensible enough."

I jumped up and squealed excitedly.

"Thank you!"

The rest of the day I was jumping around and annoying everyone, I even ate something!

"Rebel, Roy! It's 4:30! You've got to go!" Charlie yelled, "Move it!"

I grabbed my black shoulder bag and raced down stairs where Roy and Charlie were waiting.

"Took you long enough!" sighed Charlie.

"Going now, bye Charlie! C'mon Rebel!" said Roy grabbing my hand and pulling me out of the orphanage and all the way to where the concert was playing.
"I never knew you could run that fast," I panted.

"I wanted to get here quick!"

"Yeah..."

We showed our tickets to the guard and we ran all the way to the front of the mosh pit.

20 minutes later the crowd erupted into cheers as Billie Joe Armstrong, Tré Cool, Mike Dirnt, Ronnie Blake and the 2 Jason's ran on stage.

"I hate being short," I moaned as at least 10 people pushed me out they way.
Roy grinned down at me he was at least a head taller than me.

"Come up on my shoulders," he offered bending down.

"Thanks Roy!" I laughed climbing on.

He straightened up and I beamed as the entire stage came into view.

"Wow Rebel, you are so light!" exclaimed Roy.

"Gee thanks!"

"HELLO CALIFORNIA!" Billie Joe shouted into the microphone.

There was a roar from the crowd and I waited until the noise died down before yelling.

"Hi!"

I wasn't sure if he heard me even though I was pretty close.

"HOW Y'ALL DOING?" he yelled.

Yet again another roar from the crowd and yet again I waited until the noise died before shouting.

"I'm good thanks!"

He definitely heard me that time, I saw him glance at me grinning.

"OKAY GUYS WE'LL START WITH 'SHE'S A REBEL'!"
