Living life to the full (in my own private suicide), chapter 3
-Recap-
Yet again another roar from the crowd and yet again I waited until the noise died before shouting.
"I'm good thanks!"
He definitely heard me that time, I saw him glance at me grinning.
"O.K GUYS WE'LL START WITH 'SHE'S A REBEL!"
-End recap-
"Your song Rebel!" yelled Roy as he started to dance with me still on his shoulders.
"Just don't drop me!" I warned him, laughing.
"Sure, whatever!"
I sang along with every song and every word, I played an air guitar to all the songs I could play on my guitar wishing I'd brought it with me.
"Rebel, I'm putting you down now!" Roy yelled bending down.
I jumped off him grinning.
"Thanks Roy!"
"No problem now let's start a riot!" He screamed and started jumping up and down.
I laughed and joined in my fist in the air, soon the whole of the mosh pit was jumping up and down. I was kinda bummed when the concert ended but I was really psyched about going to meet the band. I rushed off into the ladies and re applied my smudged eyeliner and ran my fingers through my long blonde and purple hair. I ran back out to an anxious Roy.
"Come on!" I screamed pulling him towards the back stage entrance.
We showed the security guard our passes and he let us through.
"Door at the end of the hall on the left," he grunted.
"KAY!" I screamed running down the long corridor, with Roy close behind me. I stopped in front of the end door, trying to catch my breath.
"O.K before we go in promise me one thing," said Roy.
"Hmmm?"
"Don't scream like a flipping teenie when you see them."
I rolled my eyes and flipped him off and knocked on the door.
"Yeah?" a familiar voice called from the other side of the door.
I took a deep breath and opened the door and I came face to face with the one and only, Tré Cool.
"HOLY CRAP!" I yelled.
Roy poked me and I rolled my eyes, although I was slightly un nerved by Tré who was staring at us without blinking. I stared back at him defiantly, until it turned into a full scale staring contest. I grinned as Tré's eyes began to water. He closed them briefly.
"HA! YOU BLINKED I WIN!" I sang dancing round in a circle.
"Did not! I demand a re-match!"
"NEVER!"
"Quit it!" hissed Roy poking me again.
"OW! Roy!" I whined.
"Tré? You've been ages! Where's my coffee?" A tall man walked into the room. "Oh, hi who are you guys."
"I'm Roy and that's... "
"Rebel!" I chipped in wanting to introduce myself.
"I guess you know who we are," said Mike shaking our hands.
"She cheated in a staring contest!" said Tré indignantly.
"Did not! I won fair and square; you're just a sore loser!"
Tré poked his tongue out at me so I flipped him off just as Billie Joe came into view.
"What the hell are you guys doing?" he asked looking at us, "and who are the kids?"
"Hey! I'm not a kid I'm 15 next week for your information!" I protested.
"O.K sorry!" he grinned holding his hands up, "Tré did you get the coffee yet?"
"No."
"Go get it!"
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"YES!" shouted Billie
"NO!" screamed Tré.
"No!" I said knowing what would happen next.
"YES!" shouted Tré.
Billie and Mike looked amused.
"Wait...aww! DAMNIT!" moaned Tré stamping out of the room.
"Well done! I congratulate you," said Billie laughing.
"When you live in a building full of kids, you learn a few things," I said shrugging.
We went through to the area where the couches and arm chairs were and we sat down.
"So you guys are... ?" said Billie Joe.
"Roy."
"Rebel."
"You were the one in the mosh pit who insisted to answer me once everyone else had finished yelling," said Billie grinning.
"That's me," I said chirpily.
Tré came back with the coffee a few minutes later. We talked for a bit before I noticed, Billie's guitar in the corner, it was one of the Blue replicas. I wasn't joining in the conversation but every so often my eyes flicked back to the guitar.
Billie Joe caught me looking.
"You want a go?" he asked.
"Hell yeah!"
I ran over to the guitar and picked it up carefully. I strummed a few chords before starting to play 'She's A Rebel', singing the words quietly as I played.
