I'm in a Pickle, chapter 9
"Actually, when Kia comes home tomorrow, be'll be leaving. So pack up all of your things and no goofing off."
"Like what?"
"Like, no calling people, no visiting anyone, no playing games-"
"Ok, I get the pint."
I walked up to my room and started packing my things back up. I was thinking. For once in my live. Thinking about Billie. I couldn't go see him or call him. The next time I could really talk to him is when I get home.
*The Next Morning*
Gina, Kia's mom, had already gotten Kia from the hospital. I went downstairs and before I could control it, I started crying.
"Meghan, why are you crying?"
"I can't go see or talk to Billie."
"Why?"
"Because we're leaving today."
"Why?"
"Because of you!" I immediately regreted what I said.
*Kia's POV*
What Meghan just said to me made me sad; heart broken.
"Fine Meghan. If you really want to be that way!"
"Kia, I didn't mean it like that."
"I'm sure you didn't." I wheeled away.
This was going to be a long trip home.
I, was also sad. I wouldn't be able to see Tre again. Ever.
*My POV*
Someone knocked on the door. I ran to answer it.
"Billie!" I jumped up and hugged him.
"Someone's glad to see me."
"Billie, I'm..." I had tears in my eyes.
"You're what?" he said wiping my tears.
"I'm...leaving today."
Billie looked sad. Really sad.
"When are you going to leave? I mean, what time?"
"I don't know. I guess around 12:00 if we want to get home around 4:00."
He took my hand and led me out the door.
"Where are we going?"
"Meghan, what do you say if I take you on a date until you have to go?"
"I'd appreciate that very much."
He took me to the most elegant restaurant and then the beach. We were just laying on a towel making out the whole time.
Sadly, when the time came, he took me to the airport to meet up with Gina and Kia and we said our good-byes.
"Meghan, promise me that you'll call as soon ass you get home."
"I promise." We kissed one last time and right before I boarded, I added, "I'll see you when the first album comes out."
