You're so hopeless, you don't even know it, chapter 3

It was daylight already, making it a Monday morning, and I found myself laying beside Betty. She looked so beautiful when she was asleep, and so peaceful. I decided to get up quietly, and head to the restroom. Then, I went to the guest room to change, just as Betty woke up and went to the restroom as well. When I was finished, I found her resting against the door frame, waiting for me to be next to her.

I headed her way and she said, "I missed you babe, when I woke up, you weren't there."

I replied, "I'm sorry for leaving you on your lonesome, but I won't do that anymore, and that's a promise."

She game a peck and said, "Good, but it's okay, no hard feelings."

With that, we headed downstairs, hand in hand, and made our way into the kitchen. Betty swung the door carelessly, and holding it open for me to walk through, and not hitting me on the face as it swung back. I sat on the dining room chair as Betty was making some pop tarts for us to share. Just as they were finished, she set them on the table and started sharing and talking over strawberry filled poptarts and a cold glass of fresh milk. Even though it's not the best breakfast in the world, to me it was, especially when I share it with my precious girlfriend. When we were finished, we cleaned up and headed to school.

We decided to walk today, since the day was nice enough to walk, and everyone was staring at me for a reason. I think I even forgot all my hair was cut off and looked extremely different.

A girl stopped me and said, "Nice hair, Caleb, I barely recognized you." Betty cut in,
"It was all me."

The girl looked at Betty, and said, "You did a great job."

Betty replied, "Thanks," then we kept walking.

I had no idea I was catching so much attention, but I didn't really care anyway, fame was nothing to me. Once we arrived at school, I received many more stares, and I walked Betty to her first class.

Once I left her, I headed to sociology, then I got stopped by somebody. When I turned around, it was a face I've never seen before. She had bright green eyes and black curlish hair. She was an inch taller than me so I had to look up. She asked me curiously, "What's your name?"

I replied, "Caleb, do you need anything?"

She replied with a smile, "Yeah, um, I'm new here, and I would like you to give a tour."
