Looking, searching, finding..., chapter 2

"Oh, that's cool, maybe I'll see you round," he said as a taxi pulled up next to him.
"See you."
He got in and left.

*His P.O.V*
'Wow, that Sammi girl was crazy,' I thought as the taxi pulled away.
"Where too?" asked the cab driver
"Kings Hotel," I replied
Yes that's right, I was staying in the Kings Hotel too. I was kind of hoping I'd see them again they seemed really cool people.
I couldn't wait to see my friends again. It had been over a month since I'd seen them last. I stared out the window, my mind on things I'm not going to bore you with, just hoping that I'd see the two girls again.
*Caroline's P.O.V*
"Kings hotel please," I told the taxi driver as Sammi and I piled into a taxi.
As the taxi pulled away, I wondered about the man Sammi had decided to spin into. There was something very familiar about him.
"Caz? Yoo-hoo! Anybody home?" asked Sammi waving her hands in front of my eyes.
"Yes? What? Hello?"
"You were day dreaming!"
"That, I do a lot, get used to it," I sighed leaning back in my seat.
"Really? You know, I don't daydream really, I talk a lot though about lots of stuff like um... chickens and whales and tomatoes and pigeons and cheese... hey! Did you know that I am the sole inventor of the marvel that we call cheese?" babbled Sammi
"Yippee for you," I laughed.
"I wonder what it would be like to be a piece of cheese... "
"So do I Sammi, so do I."
The journey to the hotel went fairly quickly, there wasn't much traffic on the roads so we got there in about 45 minutes. We paid the driver and got out with our luggage. The taxi drove of.
"Oh swish," I gasped as I looked up at the hotel.
"Holy Moly God of Pigeons it's huge!" screeched Sammi.
"I can see that Sam, come on lets get this stuff into our rooms and go exploring!" I said.
We booked into our rooms, Sammi ended up being on the same floor as me just a few rooms down. We decided to meet up for lunch. I went into my room and gasped.
Oh my God! It was huge. I dropped my stuff and ran into the bathroom. The bath was enormous!
'I'm going to enjoy this holiday,' I thought.
I checked the time. 8-30am.
I was so tired; I had a long bath and pulled out my jeans, my studded belt and favourite Green Day t-shirt out of my bag. I laid them on a chair and sat on my bed. I was slightly more awake now. I put the kettle on and made a cup of coffee. I pulled on my clothes and checked the time again. 10 o'clock.
I was meeting Sammi in 2 hours; I rummaged around in my bag and pulled out 'Warning,' my favourite Green Day C.D. I found a C.D player sitting on the desk in the corner of the room. I put on my C.D full blast and got out my make up bag.
I applied copious amounts of eyeliner and mascara. I swept some dark eye shadow over my eyes and painted my nails black.
I sat around reading my book until I heard banging on my door. I marked my place and ran to the door and answered it.
I saw Sammi standing in the doorway smiling.
"You know, you can hear that in my room," she laughed running in.
"Come in," I said sarcastically closing the door.
"I'm loving the chucks," she nodded at my black and red converse high tops on the floor.
"Yes they are mine and no you may not wear them," I laughed.
"But they're stripy!"
"I am aware of that," I smiled grabbing them and pulling them on.
"Wow, more stripy stuff!" squealed Sammi grabbing my rainbow coloured shoulder bag, made entirely out of zips, with an International Superhits badge on the strap.
"Where do you get the stripy things?"
"That's for me to know and you to find out," I replied laughing, "Come on! I'm starving lets go eat!"
I took my bag off Sammi and slung it over my shoulder.
We went to the end of the hall where the lift was (what you expected us to walk to the lobby?) and pressed the button.
"Dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun! Can't touch this!" sang Sammi.
"Alrighty then," I said.
The doors binged open and we walked in.
We pressed the button for the lobby and the lift went down. It stopped on the next floor down and three men came in.
As the doors closed shut Sammi thought it would be fun to say-
"Hey, where did my pet tarantula go? He was in my bag when we got in!"
"Sam..." I warned her as the 3 guys started looking around.
The lift came to a juddering halt.
"Shit, what was that?" said one of the men
"I think we've stopped," I observed
"No duh Einstein," sighed Sammi.
The tallest of the men went over and pressed the call button.
"It's broken," he stated.
"Crap," I sighed.
I slid down the wall and sat down. I was shaking.
Sammi sat next to me.
"You're claustrophobic aren't you?"
"How could you tell?"
I buried my face in my hands.
"Hey, weren't you the girls at the airport?"
"Cool hat dude!" yelled Sammi. "Where's your hat gone, and why are you all wearing sunglasses inside?"
I looked up I was shaking violently.
The guy from the airport took of his glasses and Sammi screamed.
"Sammi, calm down," I gasped, I was finding it difficult to breathe.
"Hey, are you alright," the tallest one had come over to me and sat down.
"I'm fine," I gasped.
"Don't look like it," said the other one.
"Well, you would be a little freaked out too if the walls started moving in towards you," I mumbled, trying to take deep breaths.
At that moment, the lights in the lift went out.
"Awww crap!"
"Wait a sec, I have my lighter."
There were a few clicking sounds and a flame came into view in the far corner of the lift, it illuminated the face of someone very familiar to me. That someone just happened to be Billie Joe Armstrong.
"Oh-My-God," I moaned.
"What?"
"I think she just realised who you guys are," said Sammi matter-of-factly.
All of a sudden the lights came back on.
"Praise the Lord!" cried Sammi falling to her knees.
The lift started shaking and started going down.
I let out a sigh of relief.
I clambered to my feet as the lift doors opened. I ran out the lift before anyone else.
I bent over double, breathing heavily.
"Never, ever again," I muttered.
I straightened up and looked over at everyone else, they all looked kind of concerned.
"Are you O.K, Caz?" asked Sammi.
"You know what, I think next time I'm going to use the stairs," I said. "Right now, I am going back up to my room and I'm going to order room service because the way my lucks going today, I'd probably fall down the stairs."
I turned and walked off.
"Oh, that's cool, maybe I'll see you round," he said as a taxi pulled up next to him.
"See you."
