Road Trip, chapter 5
"Oh hey, Ri, How'd it go?" Hayley asked me and carried on watching TV.
"I'm hanging around with them tonight at a party," I said and they both laughed.
"You keep believing that," Amy said and laughed.
"They are, honest. At half seven," I said and they just carried on laughing so I went to get ready.
At 7:25 I went into the lounge, ready for tonight.
I was wearing a red halter neck top which showed my small tattoo on my hips of three butterflies, and my pierced navel with my favourite belly button stud in, which had a three tiny stars hanging off it, a small silver guitar and a small dice hanging off it.
My best friend Charlie gave me it before she moved to Australia, back in the days where I lived in Ireland. I miss her so bad, yet we've lost contact. Her mobile number has been changed, and she's got a new email address, and she never bothered writing.
This all happened when I was 13, I'm 17 now but I still miss her, I haven't talked to her in years but I always wonder what she's doing.
I was also wearing my short red kilt with black fishnet tights and my new pair of new rock boots. I had purple eyeliner on and black kohl with silver mascara. On my lips I had dark purple lipstick on and I curled my hair.
"Great joke Ri, but now you can stop it," Hayley said when she saw me.
"I keep on telling you, it's not a joke. They're coming," I said and then sat down and watched the clock.
7:34
Still no sign.
7:42
They haven't come yet.
7:58
"Aww, you've been stood up by Green Day! You do know that it's rather sad you believe that you would actually be partying with them," Amy laughed.
"Yeah come on Ri, there's loads of fans, and did they actually say that they would go partying with you?" Hayley asked.
"Billie Joe's niece Rebel said so yeah," I said.
"You saw Rebel there? Oh god!" Hayley said and I smiled.
8:12
"Are you sure they are actually coming?" Hayley asked me.
By this time I was getting really upset, I mean, I was technically being stood up by Green Day. That's something good for my confidence isn't it? And the sad thing is that I totally adore Billie Joe, in fact I love him and he doesn't give a damn about me.
8:20
Still no sign. I went to my room and started moving my make up and got changed into my black baggy jeans that has all the band patches on them and chains with the studded belt, and my baggy evanescence top. I put my HIM wristband on and put in my skull earrings.
I thought I knew Billie Joe, even though today was my first meeting, I truly thought I knew him.
I guess not.
8:30
My last hope of then turning up to pick me up shattered. I picked up my black and silver guitar called Moonlight and started playing "Platypus: I hate you" really quickly and roughly.
8:57
"Ri! Come here!" Amy called and banged on my bedroom door. I sighed and turned off my amp and put down moonlight. I went to the door, and opened it. Amy was there smiling at me, I bet she found it funny that I had been stood up.
"What?" I asked her.
"Guess who is at the door," Amy said smiling.
