recap

Okay, my mom through me out of my house, and my real dad came to pick me up. So, Billie Joe and I are on our way to Oakland. YAY!

*End of recap*

*Arrive in Oakland California*

My dad got out of his black BMW and streached. "Ah, home sweet home!" he said.

I streched out as well, and then looked at the house in front of me. It was huge but it was home. It felt really homie, like I belonged there.

"So,uh dad... do you have a phone I could use like, right now?!" I said, and then realized that that was like the stupidist question in the world.

"No, I have a shit load of money, and this big ass house, but no phone, sorry honey," he said sarcastically.

"Dad! Where is it at?"

"Dessy! It's in the house, go find it yourself."

"Just tell me."

"How old did you say you were? It's in the kitchen, you'll have to find that on your own, while I work on getting this twenty ton bag out of my car! Christ, what did you bring?"

"Just my clothes, and my CD collection, and my shoes, that's it."

"How many pairs of shoes?"

"Like, six. I brought my Converse, and a couple pairs of boots. I have three pairs of converse and then two pairs of boots, and like a pair of Vans."

"Go call your little friends, but, please, I beg of you, don't call them and be like.'Like oh my God! My dad is like Billie Joe Armstrong! Isn't that like soo cool!'" my dad said, sounding like a preppy teenage girl.

"Dad!" I said and playfully hit him in the arm. "God dad, do I look that preppy?!"

"Well, uhm, I plead the fith!"

"What?"

"The fith amendment. I refuse to answer that question under the grounds that I may incriminate myself."

"Oh my God! I doo?! NO!" I said running into the house. I went into the kitchen and called my friend Lin. It didn't take me long to find the kitchen, it was right at the front of the house. I punched in her number as fast as I could.

Ring, ring, ring "Hello."

"Lin! Hi! Guess how!"

"Dessy, hey. You made it up here alright. How is everything?"

My dad walked into the kitchen, "Hey, do you want to get something to eat. I have nothing here, I need to do some shopping."

"Uh, hold on a second Lin... yeah, sure, but I have some catching up to do."

"Well, I'm starving, she can come too, so you all can be all girly and I can eat."

"Let me ask her?" I said, and put the phone back up to my ear. "Hey, Lin, my dad is inviting you to dinner, do you wan..." she cut me off.

"Yes! I have no food in this house. Could you pick me up? You know, my car is a junk yard on wheels."

"I'm sure that would be fine," I said, my dad was nodding when I started to ask him.

I hung up with Lin, and we got in the BMW to go pick her up. We got to her house, and she was waiting outside. I got out of the car, and hugged her. She had been my best friend for so long, but she had to move for a lot of reasons. She started to clime into the back of the car.

"Nice car," she said to my dad, with out looking at him.

"Thanks, I like it myself," my dad said. Lin looked up and smiled, and then it hit her. Her face changed to a look of total shock.

"Oh My God! You, you're Billie Joe!" she screamed.

"Yes dear, I know who I am. Please don't scream in my ear. I am the tiniest bit deaf from that now," my dad said.

"Dad!"

"Dessy! I hate being screamed at!"

"I'm sorry! I just, am a little shocked," Lin said, aplogenicly.

"It's fine, so what do we want to eat?" Dad asked.

Lin and I looked at each other, and then at my dad. "Mexican!" we both screamed.

"I'm right here!" my dad said putting his pinky in his ear and shaking it furiously.

"Sorry," we said in unison.

*At the resturant*

"I'll have... the beef tacos," Lin said. She was the last to order. So me and her sat and talked about the old times, and my dad listened, and stared at Lin like she was a prize he hadn't won. Of course, Lin did the same with him.

"Earth to Dad! Come in Dad, do you copy!" I said.

"Dessy, I'm right here, and I'm paying attention to you," he said.

"Then what did I just say?"

"Uh..."

"Exactly! You don't know. Lin went to the restroom! So stop drooling over her!" I said, a little irritated.

"She's...hot"

"Ewwwww! Dad, she's my friend."

"In the car on the way from San Diego, you were trying to hook me up with her."

"So ask her out, don't stare at her like that, God. You two are embarassing! You both sit there and google over each other, but nobody asks anybody out! Hello Daddy, she's been all hot for you for, like four years! Ask her out!" I said. God! It's pathetic when you have to like, couch your dad through shit like this.

Lin came back to the table, and the prosses started all over again. Finally, my dad spoke.

He cleared his throat, and he looked at Lin. "Hey, Lin, I didn't catch your age," he said. Oh my God, he's a doofus!

"Oh, I'm 19, I'll be twenty in like, seven months. Why?"

"Well, as we've established, I'm unfortunately single and lonely."

"Me too. So, I didn't want to ask, but, like, I think it would be cool if, you and I went out. I didn't ask, because, like I didn't want to sound like some little girl that just wanted you cause of your fame or whatever," Lin said, turning kind of red. Oh my God! She asked him! I was shocked. Like toally shocked!
