A Green Day Story, chapter 2

"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!!!" I moaned, falling to my knees to pick up the box of stuff I had dropped. What more could go wrong?
"Honey...calm down." My grandma said, placing a loving hand on my back.
"Grandma, you don't understand..." I huffed and looked down, allowing my loong black hair to block out my face, which was turning red and I glared at the floor with utost anger.
"It's alright. Why don't you let us handle the moving while you check out the neighborhood." She offered. I looked up with gratitude in my eyes and nodded. Standing up, I brushed the dirt remnants off my blue jeans and walked through the neighborhood.
"WATCH IT!" I heard from behind me. I turned around just as a guy on a skateboard crashed into me. We collided and fell onto the floor with great force. I rubbed my butt to try and ease the pain from falling smack dab on my tail bone.
"SHIT! Watch where you're going goddammit!" I yelled.
"Well so-rry!" He said and stood up. He held out his hand to help me up. I looked up to his face, but the sun behind his head made his face shadowed over. I gladly took his hand and pulled myself up. Once I was standing, I brushed myself off and got a good look at him. He was about my same height, messy black hair, gorgeous green eyes, light skin, and had smudged eyeliner on. He wore black jeans, a black studded belt, black Converse, and a black AC/DC shirt.
"Quit checking me out. I know I'm hot but, c'mon." He smirked.
"Ha ha. Funny. By the way, what's your name?"
"Billie Joe Armstrong. You?"
"Amelia Perk." I picked up his skateboard for him and held in under my arm.
"You new around here?"
"Yeah. Just moved in from Miami, Florida."
"Whoa. Far. How come you moved so far." He asked. When I didn't respond, I could tell he regretted asking that. He could tell right away he had hit a weak spot.
"I don't want to talk about it..." I said and dropped the skateboard. Tears welled up in my eyes and I turned and ran. I could hear him mount the skateboard and go after me.
"Hey! Wait! I'm sorry!" He yelled to me. I stopped and fell to my knees and buried my head in my hands...and cried. He jumped off the board and dropped to his knees beside me and put his arm around my back to comfort me.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you." He whispered as he leaned his head in closer to mine. I looked up and revealed a tear stained face.
"Nah...it's ok." I sniffled and whiped away the tears. "Just it hurts."
"Whatever it is, it'll pass, I hope. Hey, you wanna get to know each other better? There's a small coffee place we can head to." He offered, trying to make me feel better. I nodded and stood up. Then I got a good look at his face. He had messy, short black hair and emerald green eyes. He also wore smudged eye-liner.
"Sounds...nice..." I took one last sniffle and wiped any wetness off that remained on my face.
