Aspects of their stage antics and album scores are very much copied off of Green Day. As far as sound goes, you're absolutely right- they're different. Green Day is actually talented.
While I don't know MCR, I do find them, well, I retract that- Gerard- to be extremely rude. I have never talked to him personally, but I did see them live back in 2005. I was at the Vans Warped Tour, and they (the event staff for the WT) had decided to put MCR in a small area. What that all boils down to is that there were too many people in too small a space, but MCR came out all the same. Obviously. Anyway, when the band finally came out, the morons in the back shoved all the kids up front, trying to get closer and all. The people in the front shoved back, and the f*ckers in the back couldn't handle it and fell. Because of that, EVERYONE fell. I was in the middle. People were on top of me and underneath me. My best friend was down on her knees scared to death. Everyone was panicking because they couldn't get up. 1 or 2 people would've been fine, but this was close to 100 people that had fallen.
Finally everyone was picked up and, for the most part, fine. Guess what Gerard has to say to all of us that fell? "If you can't handle the pits, stay the f*ck out!" It wasn't even the mosh pit... It was a bunch of damn morons. All in all, Gerard is a f*cking no-good, copying, untalented a$. I was kidding about him becoming an alocholic again. I don't wish any type of death upon anyone, but I really really want him, and the rest of that sh*t band to shut the f*ck up. So there.

I'm not going to get over myself because I love myself- unlike most of the people on this damn site. It's not something I'm just GOING to get over. Myself means everything to me. As far as MCR goes, fine, like them. If what I say doesn't bother you at all, you sure have a funny way of not caring about my opinion. If you want to listen to sh*t music, go on ahead. I'm just trying to save you from a waste of time.
Plus- MCR are sh*theads and pricks. They're horrible live and they copy Green Day like crazy. In a sense, there's nothing original about them. All they talk about is death and destruction, but there's a point where it gets to be too much, and MCR passed that point a looooong time ago. If anything, they need to get over themselves and come up with some new and original material- instead of hanging on to the coattails of past great artists. We already HAVE a Green Day. We love them, we don't need some sh*t band from the other coast to try and replicate them... it just insults Green Day.
