You'll have to check is it legal first. There's a lot of places hold it as illegal activity and regard them as wild animals whose rights are of freedom, like humans. Some people breed them though, and when bought at a young age they can be really friendly and tame.
I can buy them here in Ireland for about 200 euro.

My brother and I were playing with him and I put him on the shelf, while I was getting something and he fell off.
Your dog won't know the difference, just wash your hands properly everytime and he might not pick up the scent.
