About
I have OOGDD. I bet you can figure out what that stands for.
I'm from New York, but my family moved to a really crappy place in North Carolina a few years ago. I hate it here! I can't wait until I can finally move to Berkeley.
I love punk rock, hard rock, metal(only the good kind like Black Sabbath, Van Halen, etc..) My favorite band is obviously Green Day. I also like blues and some jazz, mostly Big Bad Voodoo Daddy in the jazz department...
If anyone says anything bad about Green Day, I like to punch them in the face.
I'm pretty much the only person that populates the punk scene in the sad excuse for a town I currently live in, besides a few annoying and insulting posers.
I just started playing the guitar in September 2009. The first song I learned was Brain Stew. My guitar is a red Fender Squier Strat. That's why I call it Squier Ed. Once I can afford it, I'm going to add a humbucker pickup to it to give it that certain punch I'm looking for.

coool! i dont think ive ever heard of them, but if youre allowed to go, definitely do. im sure it'll be fun & i hope your parents let you (:

good point. they're obviously just doing their best to make sure you're raised well and all that stuff. my parents arent all that strict really. im basically allowed to do whatever i want so long as i ask nicely and get things done around the house. but there are some boundaries that i cant quite cross yet.

Haha, damnnn, your parents seem strict D:

Pretty sure the first CD that I got that I still like is American Idiot. and when I first got that, the only time I was allowed to swear was if I were singing the songs. which was a lot, bahaha. I have other CDs from bands like I Killed The Prom Queen, AFI, The Cure, Blink 182, My Chemical Romance etc.

They made you wait until you were 12 to buy CDs? That really really sucks. I mean, when I was younger I didn't have many but I remembering buying my first singles when I was about 4. So early |: But I don't think I'll say what CD it was, ahaha.

I remembering hearing Good Riddance as well, and Warning, but not Hitchin' A Ride. Back then I had no idea who Green Day even were though and when American Idiot came out, I got into that and got into their older music and realised. It's pretty cool heyyy (:

LOL. So true. The earliest memory I have of listening to Green Day was when I was about seven probably, or maybe even younger.
Skippy., March 10th, 2010 at 10:49:50pm
Haha, I clearly remember making up a dance to Sk8r Boi with one of my friends. How embarrassing |: & yeaaah, I remember listening to a bit of The Beatles too. and omfg, Led Zeppelin<3 theyre so good (:
That is true. I've made loads of friends on here.
Skippy., March 10th, 2010 at 12:32:30am
Same! If it weren't for Green Day, I would probably still be listening to Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne, Hilary Duff etc :| + thats okay about the friend request. New user, completely new site to you, I understand xD Actually you've been a member for over two months now. niceee.
Skippy., March 9th, 2010 at 01:52:50am
Oh yes. Well you've got to definitely believe in good music after hearing Green Day. (:

Yeahhh, I mean I can't say I know a whole lot about the difference of rap and hip hop but that's just the way I see it. and that's a good question, I really don't know. I suppose there is or could be. Might be something to google haha (:
Skippy., March 6th, 2010 at 08:18:30pm
Oh, haha, it's not being ignorant. Personally I think rap is more about just singing fast and singing about crap (mostly) but hip hop has more of a smooth beat, and most hip hop artists sing about more decent stuff. If you want some examples you could download Bliss n Eso or Hilltop Hoods. they're Australian (: but some of the songs can be rude so be careful o_o

Rap and country? Basically the only two things I don't listen to. Like I'll listen to pop, techno, trance, punk, hardcore, hip hop, rnb but just not those. & oh well. Personally I think every fan of Green Day is a real fan, they just haven't gone into as much depth of Green Day as others have.
Skippy., March 4th, 2010 at 09:24:26pm
Haha, oh. Basically all of my friends know Green Day but not all of them are keen on their music, idk. they all prefer pop rock stuff, not much punk. ):
