Fatherhood
My girlfriend is pregnant and we are both looking forward to settling down together with our child. I'm planning on being there for my kid and not follow in my old man's footsteps,I want to be a dad to a child no matter what age I am and no matter what age my girlfriend is.
In the street youngsters these days are looked upon as yobs and neds/ chavs who cause nothing bu trouble. But if that was the case why do some young people do things that the old don't expect, every city has its bad apple's but it isn't fair that the do gooders are treated like the scum of the earth because of a few bored kids. No one is perfect so why should we be expected to be something we're not, the old people who walk around with cane's act as if we owe them when we don't.
You have no idea how many time's I've heard about how every youngster is the same and is plummeting for a world of doom, it is seriously pissing me off big time and its about time that it changed and stopped.
OLD PEOPLE
Old people think they own the place and are soon to be popping their clogs any second, but we are still treated as second class citizens for being different and not following their explamples and lifestyles. People are scared to speak up for their generation because it looks too anti social, when will people realise that not everyone is the same.
Me and my girlfriend aren't planning on getting married, but one day i will ask her too if we are still together. But do you know what the older people in both our families don't want us to have this baby because we are too young, because we are always scrimping and saving for food but we can make this work. She's lost her job at her aunt's salon because she can't cope with her taking breaks all the time, maybe people are right about getting it aborted but we know as long as we have each other and as long as we have this baby. We'll always be family.

Your family is no ones elses buisness, whether they are old or not. Congratulations about the baby, and good luck :D

You made me cry. Seriously. I've been all touchy lately. Science, damn. She really is lucky to have you stick around and be there for her and the baby. I love you...in a "you're so awesome, how can anyone dislike you?" kind of way. I wish all guys were like that. It'd make life easier.

I love the last sentence. ;__;
I'm proud of you... even though I don't know you that well.

You guys are incredibly brave. That and the fact that I can only wish you luck is all I can say.
Good luck. :]

You are both amazing.
I hope your girlfriend knows how extremely lucky she is to have you support her.
I really hope everything goes planned, I wish you both the best of luck!

I congratulate you both, on the pregnancy and the stand you are both taking. I think that although things may be a little tough every now and then, you will both find a way to make things happen for you. You have the right attitude to succeed. Hopefully friends and family, once used to the idea, will be more supportive. I am annoyed though that your girlfriend lost her job the way she did, all women feel tired during the first trimester, it is to be expected and her aunt should understand that and have made allowances. Best of luck to you both, and the wee bairn.

Oh my gosh.. You are so brave. From what I know a lot of people your age who have kids aren't willing to be there for their child/ girlfriend. Luckily you are. Just keep your positive attitude, have this healthy baby and be supportive. You'll pull through. Your girlfriend is very fortunate to have you. =)
I wish you the best of luck.

I'm sure that you can make it. You gotta be strong together. And I also believe that everything happens for a reason. This baby has a chance and it'll light up your life so much. Don't abort it. I'm sure you'll do a great dad, and your girlfriend will be a great mom.
Good luck!!

As long as you are sure that you can take care of the child AND yourselves, then I would go ahead with it.
If you have significant doubts, however, I would get it aborted.
And yes, I'm pro-choice, no one give me the speech, kay? I've thought it out many a time and I know where I stand.

maybe people are right about getting it aborted
They're definitely not right, abortion is disgusting and I think you and your girlfriend are both extremely brave for standing up against them. You may be young and in an awkward situation, but that wouldn't make it ok to just do away with a life. I have alot of respect for people in your situation who make it work.
you'll have to make sure and show us the adorable baby pictures

Aww. It's good to see your sticking by your girlfriend during her pregnancy.
With the old people yes, they think we owe them a life-time. But we don't. We are being kids, enjoying what we have. I bet our grandparents think that they're kids owe them a life-time as well. It goes in every generation.
I think if they look down on you, tell them at least your sticking around for this baby, because that's the first step. I'm sure your girlfriend is very happy your in love with her, and you want to keep this baby and help her look after it as well.
Good blog.
