October is Breast Cancer awareness month
About 6 years ago my great aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer. She went through kimo and eventually beat it, after suffering some great losses. Our family is a bunch of hypocrites so they went with her to the hospital and visited her, even thought she lived across the country from us. When she beat it, and everyone knew that she would be fine they went back to normal.
She was told that there was a possibility that the cancer could come back, but it didn't make much of a difference to her at the time. She wanted to have a normal life. She got married and moved to Virgina. Less than a two years ago, she told the family that her cancer was back. And it was worse than ever!
She was of course really scared. She told us that she wasn't scared to die, but she wasn't ready to go. It was really hard for us to hear how bad it really was. It was EVERYWHERE!
Although it wasn't her fault, she was saying that she shouldn't have married my uncle. Guilt was taking over! She also didn't want to go through kimo again. Something must have really frightened her... because she's now going through kimo. She's doing alright at the moment. We don't get to hear from her a whole lot.
The point that I'm trying to make with this blog is that something should be done about Breast Cancer (and cancer in general.) When someone dies from Breast Cancer every 14 minutes... you know there's a problem!

Everybody knows there is a problem...(I hope so). I hope your great aunt will be okay...hopefully the cure will be found...:)

I know really well there's a problem.. I'm the an active member of a group that helps people with breast cancer.. (In Norway called: Rosa sløyfe). I can really say that I know what you're going through.. one of my closest family had breast cancer 4 years ago, and she wherent one of the lucky ones.
And that's why this blog is very importent personlly for me and very important to tell about.. Many people are very isolated from this truth..
