Sorrow
This is a poem I wrote a while back that stemmed from a few personal experiences. I'm hoping it will have individual meaning to the reader, though. It could be about war, a death in the family, a disappointment, a fight - you can interperet it many different ways.
Sorrow
Sorrow tastes like sour apple
So bitter
Yet so sweet as the tears reach your lips
Just like a shower in spring
The fresh aroma hits you
Begging you to start clean
But the gloom still lingers
The ringing in your ears
Is leftover
You’ve cried so hard
Your head pounds with each heavy heartbeat
The sight is so frightening
So many lives hurt
Everyone crying
Not wanting to say a word
The feeling, so rough
So sharp, like a dagger
It hits your skin
And you don’t wish to feel it again
I hope you enjoyed it!
