Best Friends

Friends can be tricky. You need to keep in touch, get together, have fun, and be yourself around them. You also need to have faith in trust in them - in a way, it's like a romantic relationship, without all the touching and...stuff.

Best friends are even trickier, but in a good way. Why, you ask? Well, friends come and go, just like the seasons. Some stay close, some move far away - situations change, and so do your friends. But Best Friends - Best Friends make an actual impact on your life.

Your Best Friend is there for anything and everything. You can talk to them about whatever, share secrets, have inside jokes. Once you call someone your Best Friend, you have an automatic trust in them - it's not something you need to build up to or work at - it's just there. It's a bond that you have with someone that can't be erased. You take care of each other, worry about each other, and are always there, right on que, when they need you most. Not because you have to - it's because you just want to.

Sure, occasionally Best Friends fight - everyone fights. But Best Friends have a tendency of kissing and making up (not literally, people) quicker than just regular friends do. Why? The relationship you have with the BFF, I think, is more important to you, in a sense. If you have such a tight relationship with someone, no matter how angry or upset or frustrated you are, you work at it. Or at least, you try. And I've narrowed it down to one exact reason why - this person understands you. They get you. It's a rare thing, really, to find a soul that matches up to your own so perfectly. And when you find one, you simply aren't willing to let go. Everyone wants to be understood - for someone just to get them. To love who they are. A Best Friend provides that. And that's what truly makes them so special.
