What's a nice day for a murder?
Take any magazine closest to you in this very moment. Pick it up and read. You will find people's lives, stolen, trashed, mocked, printed in a one million issue. Some seem to think that after reading about a certain person day after day, they suddenly know them. I'd like to say that no one knows them but they know their name. Who are we to judge them? That these people are public doesn't mean they lose their human rights. It's wrong to support magazines who send paparazzis out to take pictures when they're crying, when they're in love, when they're trying to have fun - all the time, 24/7.
Britney Spears is an excellent example of somebody millions of people are tearing apart. She was a very promising young girl, and look at her now. How on earth is she supposed to recover from alcoholism, drug addiction and whatsoever, when billions of eyes are watching her? You don't have to be a fan of her to agree. We need to leave her alone. Reading about her, judging her with the words "I hate when people who can't take care of themselves get kids!", is just not okay. By buying these magazines you're supporting them, and you're supporting the paparazzis who follow her - you're supporting the people who make her unable to take care of her kids. You're simply supporting the destruction of her life.
Pete Doherty. Everyone "knows" Pete. He's this stupid heroinist who used to be in a relationship with Kate Moss. Very few has heard his brilliant music, nobody has listened to what he really has to say and if he tries, he's made a fool in front of the world when "feeling sorry for himself." I'm not claiming to know that Pete is a kind and sweet person, because just like almost everyone on this planet, I don't know him. But I like to believe, that maybe we should give people another chance. Maybe there's something good deeply inside him. Tell me, have you ever seen anything good written about Pete Doherty in a magazine? No, because every little action of his is turned into a mass of wrong decisions in the media. Nobody ever writes about his hard way back, nobody ever talks about him being sober, no magazines support him towards a better life. Why don't we see the good in the small steps, why don't we support his good actions? And I don't know, but if you're high on drugs, and realize that your bad behaviour is what gives you the most attention, you might do it again and again and again.
Lindsay Lohan. "Lindsay has gone lesbian!", "Lindsay on rehab", "Lindsay's DUI", "Lindsay is skinnier than ever!" Lindsay here, Lindsay there, what did you expect? What do you desire from a girl left out of privacy, still young, getting loved and hated, always working, with lots of money, celebrity power and a bunch of paparazzis in a tail? Of course she'll screw up. But why, why why why!, salt her wounds? We are all quick to judge her, but in an ideal world we should all be quick to support her instead.
Why does the media put these people down? As said before, I think we should see the good in the small things. Maybe Pete skipped one cigarette this morning. Maybe Britney played with her kids last night. Maybe Lindsay drove her car legally. These small steps, are the beginning of the way back. Why don't we focus on the positive things? Because there are positive things. There is always hope.

I agree. If I'm a "human" then they must REALLY be humans. They make mistakes. THAT'S HUMAN NATURE!!! Oops, I jsut spilled a glass of milk. Does the media care? NO. But if Britney Spears spilt a glass of milk, they'd weave it into an intricate web of lies and deceit. It's horrible and wrong and cruel and I'M NOT GOING TO STAND FOR IT. I saw a magazine once in a store and threw up all over it. Well, not literally, but almost. It's truly sickening how the press is treating these people. If I kill the Pope, and Lindsey Lohan goes shopping, who do you think would get more news coverage? I'll give you a hint. NOT THE ONE WHO KILLED THE POPE. I think that if enough people stopped buying these magazines we could easily stop this madness. We should only read the ones that have nice articles about people. In fact, I'm making that right now. The preblem is, people want a scandal. They think that it'll somehow spice up their own lives if Jim Carey gets caught picking his nose. People make me sick.

Good blog. We should all create a magazine of positive things that celebrities do, it'd be brilliant. I'd support that. When the paparazzi find something negative, there they are. ~SNAP SNAP SNAP. You wonder why some celebrities are a wreck ... :omgno: I'd hit the parazzi if I were them, like sh*t. Lol, I will shut up now.

You're right, these three people I mentioned in the blog maybe should have been "ready for it". (though, from what I know, Britney's mom pushed her and took her out of school several times to have her acting and singing) Still I see no reason for making people look like idiots in front of the entire world while no one actually knows the truth.
And there are so many others. Look at royalties. They're born watched and surrounded by paparazzis.

I think celebrities should have been ready for the paparazzi. Its part of being famous. The gossip and the whole world watching them, thats part of the deal. If they can't take it they probably shouldn't be where they are in the first place. Call me insensitive or whatever, but I have no sympathy for millionaires. -_-

Celeb news, the paparazzi, time magizine. They're all the same thing: gossip.
Dont tell me otherwise. Every time you listen in on what happened to that creppy dude in your english class, you're doing the same thing as listening to what some celeb did last night at the club, execpt this is on a smaller scale (the whole world doesnt know this kid, but you and all your friends do).
To make an ocasional complaint about it (like this blog) isnt such a bad thing, but the only real answer is to completly and blissfully ignore it. All of it. Next time someone says "You hear what (insert name of creepy guy in english class here) did?", all you gotta say is "Nope, and I'm not about to hear it either." And the next time you see a news article about Lindsay Lohan, and her drug addiction, you just skip right over it.
If all the world followed those simple instructions, there wouln't be any news reports trashing celebs.

I like what your saying, it's quite good. I agree in the sense that we should just leave celebs alone, especially if they are recovering from an ordeal.
But the fact of the matter is that, people won't buy a magzine if the head story is 'Pete Doherty obeys the smoking law'. It's one of these corrupt human ways, we love to get the gossip of celebs. Like, if Mike Dirnt was arrested, I can guarantee every single Green Day fan would want the Why, How, Where, When of it all. We're just generaly nosie people.
But I know what your saying. How can Britney recover when these terrible stories are being printed, constantly putting her down and telling her she's unfit. Just leave the woman alone.

I completely agree with you. I hate the paparazzi with a passion, i honestly cannot explain my hate for them. i think the fame and never being left alone is what 'causes all these stars to go haywire in their lives. and honestly, i can say i feel bad for some of them. i honestly have no pleasure in reading about other people's pain. they're people too, and they deserve to be treated like it.
for quite some time now i've been meaning to write a blog on britney, but i haven't got around to it. i'm a bit of a fan, and i wanted to write something like what you've written. good job. i love this blog.

thats good that
i agree
i mean true its really bad for celebs to get high on drugs
but its even worse for a bunch snotty nosed camera hor3s to stalk them about watching them fall in the streets.
