Twilight.
I'm a huge Twilight fan. I've read the book series 8 times already in the past 2 years. When I heard there was a movie being made, I was excited for it, but on the other hand not. I knew they weren't going to put everything in the book into the movie, for time issues of coarse. But all in all I was impressed by the movie.
The acting in it was great. All the characters seemed to fit right, even if in the previews they didn't look the part. Robert made a very good Edward and Carlisle I won't even begin to explain. Just plain wow. Some of the characters didn't get to talk as much as in the book, but they still fit the part.
The setting was very well done. They captured the area very well and really brought out the raininess that comes along with Forks. The woods were set amazingly and the colors with the contrast to the characters were perfect.
The plot line however could use a bit of work. I didn't like how they skipped over some major parts and mushed some together. It is explanatory because of time issues but that's not the only thing. They focused a bit too much on the love concept. I mean it is a romance, but we get that already. They could put a few more things that didn't have to do with romance into it. Like Alice and Rose getting Bella ready for prom. That would've been a funny scene. But they still did capture most of the book and followed it pretty well.
All in all, I think the movie was pretty good. It is worth seeing if you are skeptical. I didn't go into the theater with high expectations for it, but it was much better than I thought it would be. Either you like it or you don't. But I liked it better than I thought I would have. So yeah, it's worth seeing. (Y)(Y)

twilight films are way too over-rated
not actually that great to be honest

I hate to do this, but, Twilight was a terrible movie. Never before in my life have I ever walked away from a movie like I did with this one. The plot was terrible, the acting was horrible, Robert Pattinson looked like he was going to vomit through out most of it. The way the vampires were portrayed was terrible. There was no action and when Edward kisses Bella for the first time, it seems like he blew a huge load in his pants and was thrown into the wall because of it. I don't see the 'greatness' that everyone else sees. All I saw was a creepy kid stalking a girl that smelt good.

I agree. I love their acting soo much. Victoria and Carlisle especially! but I was not impressed with the plot, like you said, or the way they portrayed the vampires. though they did do well with the baseball scene (my fav) but the running and sparkle looked very awful in my opinion. but I loved it all the way.
great blog and great movie.
