Individuality only succeds in death
A lot of people think that life is the only chance you have to be an individual. That's practically the first thing people complain about when the subject of school unifroms cokme into thge equation:
But, uniforms are contrary to individuality!!!
People dye their hair any old shade from the cornucopia of colour. They shave bits of it off, add more hair, grow it, gel it, shape it. They wear clothes that show off what they feel about themselves and their basic herding instinct. Most people never wear mustard yellow unless they really like mustard yellow. They listen to whatever type of music that makes them tick or fit into a genre themselves, almost as if they were for sale themselves.
You choose different paths to follow, dreams to have...
But, that's the thing. We are all the same old git underneath it all. There's always gonna be at least thirty peeople (usually waaaaaay more) that dress, talk, act and dream like you. There's always gonna be more than one person that takes teh same classes as you. You don't have jack individuality in life. Someone, sometime has done all the stuff you have. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt...blah blah blah.
But...if there is one thing that individuality really comes into it...it's death.
Suicides are the ultimate individuality; if you choose to accept it. A bottle of aspirin and a bottle of vodka is hardly unique compared to taking exactly 30 times the toxic dose of Vitamin C and hanging upside down in a lockable toilet so you choke on your own vomit while people bang on the door waiting to take a whizz.
United we stand; divided we fall.

I think it's silly to see the absolute in the human mind. We may do the same thing, but we may have different reasons for it. And reasons for those reasons. We are not one and the same, and to face life, you have to face that fact. If what you say is true, then it would basically mean that life isn't worth living because it won't be very different from the next person. We all are different. There are some things in life you will experience that no one else will. Those unique experiences give an understanding of life only you possess. The truth is impossible to know because life is an ocean. What you see changes as you get deeper, and even when you reach the bottom, there are some things you will never see or understand. Perhaps we could get the truth on all this someday. But to do that we'd have to piece together billions of thoughts and the bits of knowledge we all possess. Happiness is a road traveled, not a destination. So is truly understanding such a deep subject that you have made shallow and simple.
