The Differences Between Typical Bloggers and Blah Blah-ers
Yeah, don't ask me why. But I thought it would be interesting to see what these differences are.
(Please note that I will be generalising a pretty big amount.)
(And I'm not degrading one or the other...I'm just making my observations.)
1. Language
Is it just me, or do Bloggers use chat speak a lot less?
eg. Wow! I love you. ^_^
or:
eg. OMG I lyk totaly <3 u
2. Themes of Topics
Topics in blogs are not so random - possibly because they are moderated. Blah blah topics often involve photos, sex, or personal ... issues...whereas here, it ranges from a band review to a serious world issue.
3. Freedom of Speech
Here, opinion is highly valued. Sometimes arguments, disagreements and whatnot happen. People learn different things, say what they think and discuss issues or events and even review bands, books and movies. Most people listen to what one has to say to another. In blah blahs, its a different world. Some people argue randomnly, others gang up on one who has an opinion...well, this doesn't happen too often. But one Blah Blah fight occurred when someone said they didn't like Green Day.
4. Trends
OK, this is something they both have in common. An example of a trend in the Blah Blahs is a sudden increase in photo postings or parties, while a Blog trend is more to do with people wanting to post their opinion or expand on a topic someone has already posted.
5. People reply to my posts ^_^
Yes, most of the time people see my blogs and reply...but in the blah blahs...well...you know. Let's just say I enjoy being weird.
So, there are my observations. Maybe you have more to add?
And...if I said anything offensive to you..well...

I never use Blah Blah. I have too much to say and people in that section probably don't want to read a long paragraph about my thoughts on politics or something serious.

The purpose of blah blahs is to be random, and if you make a random blog I'll ban you from blogs until you agree to use them correctly, so that isn't really surprising. People really shouldn't fight in blah blahs, you can always report that to a mod/admin if things get too out of hand. Its hard to have fun somewhere when everyone is fighting, and we want everyone to have fun on GSB.

The blahs a great for random sh*t that pops into your head like "i could really go for a passiona right now! who has soft drink"
but i find i get ignored a lot in the blahs, if i make a post. it generally gets ignored cause imnot in that huge group of friends, nor do i have LOTS of friends here on GSB. (i do have some fabulous friends though)
Also i find that the blahs get dominated. That doesnt really happen here.

I quite like it here...
On the blah blah's, you get these popular people that completely ignore you.
I don't usually come on here, but it seems as if the people that use the blogs are much more friendly. ^_^

i agree with all of them. I like it here because you make friends easier, and you also get more of a say in things.

Very true. Especially with comments. I get so surprised when I go back to my blogs and I find that people have actually taken the time to read them. I love the Blah blahs when you're all bored and hyper and crap. It's fun to see what people randomly post. However, I think I love the Blogs a little bit more because people actually respond, try to help, and you can learn a lot from people's opinions and stuff.

I'm like a different person in the Blahs. I stil use the same language as in the Blogs. But I can go crazy in the Blahs. And just say random stuff that has nothing to do with anything. ..And I never get comments anymore in the Blahs. My Blogs get comments now. :D
