I've never really thought about my opinion on porn that much. I suppose there are different types, because some of them, to me, are done quite low brow and aren't that, I dunno, classy (bad word to describe it) then again, different things are 'sexy' to different people, so it's hard to smack a label on something and call it obscene. My grandmother, for instance, thinks all forms of porn are obscene, dirty, objectifying and nasty. The people who consent to do it don't think it's nasty, and some people find forms of tastefully done sexual themes (using your words) beautiful, or at the very least okay.
Porn to me is about the people who do it and the people who view it, it's all a matter of opinion. I've watched a few specials on the porn industry, and soaked up a bit (not much but it's there) of knowledge, and all the stars of these films enjoyed what they did, and weren't filling the stereotype people lay out for them. In fact, they seemed more alarmed at peoples ignorance at the fact that the media is oversexed with music videos and television content, yet the word 'porn' causes outrage to some.

That is so true. It seems like a every other music video that comes out has a bunch of half nakie women shaking their "bootehs" and holding the camera up to their cleavage. And we've all seen Christina Aguilera's Dirrty video. As much as I respect her and adore her, I think that video might count as porn...

I don't think it was obscene without artistic merit, nor do I think it was approperiate for Children. Its somewhere in between.

Yeah, well...in a blunt way my opinion on porn is about how it's executed. I don't think porn is filthy, generally, but sometimes it makes sex....shall we say...less than beautiful? But, most of the media does that anyway.

Well, some people like sex being less than beautiful, its a personal thing. I think the only standards we can have are to make sure no one is harmed, doing it agaisnt their will, or being exploited.

See, if that video truely was 12 year old girl getting raped, thats crosses the line and then some. Not only would that be child pornography, but I think enjoying watching something like that can not be healthy.
