Open, chapter 1

Look at her. She's so... perfect. She has been coming to quite a few of your gigs now. Always front and center, bringing someone different with her every time. This particular night she brought a tall blonde girl. Cute, but not in anyway as good looking as her.
You decide then and there you are going to talk to after the show. You've gotta meet her, find out why she keeps coming. Even though you only know her by sight, you feel like you're already dating her. Finally the last song comes, it feels like it drags on for hours. When you finish, you hurry backstage for a drink of water, have a quick word with Mike and Tre, and go down into the audience, just as you see her go out into the front entrance. Her friend just stepped into the bathroom and she is about to follow when you run up and grab her arm. This might be the only chance you get to talk to her. She turns around and looks up at you with almost black eyes.
"Ya?" she asks.
You let go of her arm. Oh shit. Of all the times to forget what to say, why now?
"Do you have a map? Because I'm lost in your eyes." Great. It would have been better to of said nothing than to use one of your cheesy pickup lines. You can feel your face turning red.
"Ummm... I mean... "
She laughs. "It's alright. That's the first time I've heard that one. I've heard worse, believe me. My name's Adrienne."
"Billie Joe." You reply. "Did you enjoy the show?"
"Ya, you're a pretty good guitarist. Lessons?"
"Na, I taught myself. My dad wanted me to play piano." Feeling more confident, you make your move. "Listen, if you don't mind waiting for a few minutes while we pack up, could I take you out for a drink?"
Adrienne opened her mouth to reply, but at that moment her friend came out of the washroom.
"Billie Joe this is my roommate, Lizzy." You nod at Lizzy, she gives you a small smile. "Liz you okay walking back to the apartment by yourself? I'm going to go have a drink with Billie Joe here."
'Yes!' you think to yourself. 'I didn't blow it!'
Adrienne goes and sits down on the couch by the door, while you go and help Mike and Tre pack up.
"Wow Billie, why so excited? You've dated tons of girls, what's so different about this one?" asks Mike.
"You don't understand Mike. Adrienne's different. I know I just met her, but she feels so right. Like she gives me this feeling of being... complete."
"And you got all of that out of ONE conversation? You must have some kind of sixth-sence." Jokes Mike.
"Whatever." You finish packing up the gear and head back out to the entrance.
You and Adrienne walk a few blocks to a small bar you know, talking and laughing. There, you order a couple beers and sit in the corner, discussing the best guitars. You are surprised to find how much she knows about instruments. All you remember after that is ordering more drinks for the both of you.
