Henry Fonda Theatre, Los Angeles, CA, September 15th, 2004

Other than the fact that they came on stage forty-five minutes late, this concert was the best concert that I have ever seen.

When Billie Joe and the rest of Green Day came out on stage it was like three rock gods had just blessed us with there presence. Opening the concert with American idiot off of there new CD, set the tone for the rest of the show. Playing such infectious tracks as Holiday, Boulevard of broken dreams, and Give me novacaine, this show blew me away. Also with playing the nine minute Jesus of suburbia Green Day has created an album that will live on forever.

Although it was such a small venue, i felt that it made the show even better. While in the pit is worked my way up to the front and it was unreal. Billie Joe was literally ten feet away from me. When they finished playing the entire new album, they came with an encore of such legendary hits such as Longview, Jaded, Brain stew, and Minority. And to close it off they played We are the champions by Queen. This was great because at the end of this show u knew that they were the chamions.

Full of commentary from Billie Joe on the war and politics this show was what shows were meant to be.

Thank you Green Day for rescuing rock and roll and finally putting out some good music instead of the same monotone crap that all the other bands put out.

Out of ten I give it an eleven.
