Norfolk, VA - Convocation Center, April 21st, 2005
Ok, so last night I went to my very first Green Day concert. It kicked ass! That four hour drive was worth it.
My Chemical Romance got the crowd going by playing a couple songs, including Helena and I'm Not Okay (I Promise). I don't remember the other songs. Gerard gave a messege out to all the girls, "There is a band who is pretending to be us. If they say show us you tits and we'll give you backstage passes I want you to spit in their fucking face!". Gerard said fuck in almost every sentence he said but it rocked.
They than went into an intermition to set up the stage for Green Day. The crowd started screaming when the famous bunny walked out on stage. My friend was standing beside me yelling "Chug it bitch!" while the bunny was downing his beer. Once he walks off stage the lights dim down and the crowd is freaking out. The one and only Green Day run out on and stage and start the night off with American Idiot. The crowd was pushing, shoving, screaming, and jumping(exspecially me). They than played Jesus of Suburbia, Holiday, Are We the Waiting, and St. Jimmy. Here is the setlist. I dont know if it's in the right order but it's all I remember.

When Billie Joe started sing 'Nobody Likes You...' i thought Letterbomb was coming up next but he went into Wake Me Up When September Ends. The whole place was full lighters and cellphones glowing. That song calmed us down but not for long as the next song was Minority and the crowd really liked that one. They were going crazy.
During Knowledge Billie Joe pulled three people up on stage to make a band. He pulled up and guy for the drums and two girls for the bass a guitar. The girl who played the guitar ran up to Billie Joe and gave him a hug and he gave her a little smooch. The girl got to keep the guitar and the guy who played the drums did a stage dive. After that Billie Joe said, "That proves that girls DO do it better", which is true. Billie Joe had the crowd chanting 'jump' before the drummer ran off stage and landed on the crowd. In the middle of Hitchin' A Ride Billie Joe had us screaming 'ohs' and 'awws' until he went into a full force orgasim while wanking on stage. At the end he yelled 'Some body fuck me!' and the crowd screamed their heads off. Billie Joe tried some brake dance moves on stage and did a very good job. Mike and Tre blasted the stadium. The whole place was vibrating. I could feel the ground under me shake. During King For A Day Billie Joe wore his crown and really had the crowd going when he would pull down his pants a little and spank his butt. The whole night was fucking awsome. My legs were sore and my voice was almost gone. I had sweat dripping down my face and my shirt was soaked.
I cant wait to go to another concert. Green Day put on the best shows ever.
