This Sickens Me...
I wasn't too sure what to put this under, but feel World News Is More Appropriate Than any of the other topics
Every morning I turn on sky news, just so I can know what’s happening in the world. Top Story: Prince William and Kate Middleton split. My first thought ‘Slow news day’. So skipping to the other channels, I saw it was the same news story. Then, flashing back to sky news I saw a line at the bottom Breaking News: 40 Dead in Suicide Car Bombing .
So what? A celebrity split is more important that 40 people losing their lives? I don’t care if he’s inline to the throne, or if she’s a ‘country favourite’, I still doubt how anyone can see a celebrity break up as more important than this. Is it something to do with ratings? Still not a good enough reason in my eyes!
I don’t know. Maybe I’m just bitter since my mum came into my room at 7am shouting about breaking news. But then again, if it was a choice between celeb news and world news, I’ll take world news any day, as I couldn’t care less who has split or lost 10 pounds overnight.
Basically, to sum up this blog: I’m morally appalled that news cares more about the celebrity world than the horrible events going on.

i agree with you, celebs always make top news and they don't deserve to, people that have lost there lifes and gone threw exsteme suffering should make the news, it would defiatly make people more alert about the world that they live in.

Its all for ratings, what's actually important isn't any concern of the medias, they want to sell us what makes them money.

I hate it how people are picking on Britney Spears. It makes me sick to think that people havent learned anything. It makes me sick because we are all people, whether or not we have released more records, or we are rich, we are all people.
This is why i liked Kurt Cobain, because he never liked this at all, and he made beautiful music. That man is a savior.
