Boys and Girls.
Girls and boys, women and men - no matter how old they are - both genders act and react differently. Especially in converstaions you can see that the same words mean different things depending on who says it.
You often hear comedians make jokes about how difficult it is for men to understand women. And indeed it often is. Men are straight away. They mean what they say, they say what they mean.
Women though don't neccessarily mean what they say.
When a girl says she's fine it doesn't necessarily mean that she really is. Or when something's wrong they won't admit it. I want to explain.
Guy: What's wrong?
Girl: nothing
Nothing can mean three different things depending on how it is said.
1. If nothing is said straight away, with a questioning face and being added by something like Why should be something wrong? or anything like that then it's usually an honest nothing.
2. If nothing is said really quickly and the girl is quickly looking at her shoes or away, then she's trying to avoid the question because something is wrong.
3. This is the evil one that many girls/women use probably unintentionally. First there is a break, silence, no answer. Then she whispers nothing and looks down or away. This is the dangerous one. It's saying Of course something is wrong. Why don't you see it? Often it is also added with a fake smile.
This was just one example. There are plenty more. I can only imagine how hard it must be for guys to get us girls at times.
Why do we have to make it so damn hard for them?
Well it's how we are. It's part of the excitement.
I tried not acting like that, but it barely works. It's kinda natural; I can't change it.

I know o.0
Weird huh?
Guess it is like that =P And I don't think it would work, if girls were totally honest(when you think about the nothing answer thing)
Cause I think girls get "depressed" (you know what I mean, sad and stuff) easier than boys do! And if we started to tell boys all the tiny little things that bothered us all the time, I think they would be scare o.0
Perhaps.....
But I totally get what you mean =] Even though I agree with Lizzie down there somewhere! Boys can be difficult to understand as well!

The brother thing, i guess that's true.
I have two brothers, and of course my dad.
Apparently i'm too honest for my own good. I think i got this aspect from my dad. She rather open on his opinions on certain things. Rascism being one of them. He isn't too fond of asians tbh. But yeah, i take after my mum on a lot of things, but my motives ons tating my opinion, definately from my dad.
So yeah, i guess the more males you have around you and your environment, the more open you are about certain things.

i find people in general difficult to understand...
Lyddy r teh Snaily, June 6th, 2007 at 05:39:12am
it actually does have to do with your brothers (:
and girls who grew up with alot of "males" around often aren't the way I described it. They learn to say things straight away like their brothers do

boys and girls have completley different mindsets, I think it's just the way the brain works (for most people).
The weird thing is that I'm the only girl I know who can understand why guys act in the way they do. Maybe it has to do with my brothers, I dunno.

Wow.. that really is true. I'm not sure why some girls are like this. Sometimes girls aren't very open when it comes to talking to people like some guys can be.
*thinks* Another difference between guys and girls eh?

It's true.
But to some girls, it's a very difficult challenge to understand guys.
It's sucks.
Especially when people are two faced.
Stef., June 5th, 2007 at 05:49:43pm
yeah, although when I say something I usually mean it. I just think about a lot of things and get that dead fish look on my face. lol

Great blog, and yeah, this is pretty much true :]

I understand your point. I know there are guys and girls who aren't like that.
I don't mean to get stereotypical. And what's the deal with being stereotypical anyway? It's just like labeling. The discussion is stupid.
And I said I noticed it on me and found it also in comedians talking about it.

Guys can be difficult to understand too, sometimes
We mustn't get stereotypical here.
