I Am Gay. What's Your Problem?
People have problems with gay pride. Why is that?
Is it because the bible says it is 'unclean and disgusting'? Is it because our parents were taught by their parents that men who love men are nasty, and riddled with HIV AIDS or other STD's? Or maybe its because people just don't seem to understand?
Or is it because lesbians are used for pornography?
Do you remember Matthew Shepard? He was an 18 year old gay male, who was abducted and beaten by two men. The young man was tied to a barbed wire fence and left to die. The men were given prison time (one was given two life sentences, the other was given the same, minus the chance of parole) for their crimes.
My girlfriend and I have a very open relationship. We really don't care about what anybody else thinks. But just recently I got caught in a fight because I was a 'dyke'.
I'm sick of hate crimes against minorities. It's time to really do something about it.

to be gay/lesbian is fine. I think the most nicest and funniest people are gay/lesbian. I dont judge people unless they judge me.

My best friend is gay.
I have no problem.
But the people at school think we're dating.
Even though I have a boyfriend.
We like to play along and fool of the sh*tfaces at our school.
Discrimination will never be rid of in our world. Our generation think it's "cool" to call someone a fag, or a dyke. It's not, it's rude, you could really be insulting a gay person, or their parents could be gay.
Those people don't know how much it can really hurt a person. But they think they are bigger than everyone who isn't like them. Which I and my friend dislike.
When someone disses us, we flip them off, and play along, just to shut them up.

Mostly it all goes back to how your parents raise you i think. =/
My mum taught me that gay/lesbian people are the nicest you can meet, and so far that's been true.

yeah i have to agree with you. i dont know why people are so...rude about people who are gay, lesbian, bi, trans, etc. its who they are and its their choice of who they want to be. im straight but i kinda know where youre coming from because i have lesbian aunts and whenever they take me and my sister out somewhere, people point, laugh, do sh*tty things. its terrible. but i agree with schooldropout about ignoring them.

I personally don't care. I don't support gays, and i don't put them down.
I don't agree with people making fun of gays and lesbians, but I really don't see the point in "Gay Pride". Fair enough, gay people have a right to all the parades and freedom of assembly but still, straight people don't have "straight pride" marches and stuff... If they did, most gays would probably think those people have something against gays.
It's no big deal. You like the same sex, big whoop. (No offence by the way).
So yea I won't support minorities, and I won't make fun of them.
But yah, whatever floats your boat...

I know where your coming from, the truth is we can't change what they think about anyone. If they have their minds made up we should let them get on with it. No matter how much they hurt us.
When i first told my family that I was bi they reacted badly and said I was dirty. I know what your going through, I've only had one serious realtionship with a guy but you know its enough.
