How to Save a Life
She stood in front of everyone. Everyone. Her hands trembled violently, a deep crimson appeared on her pale cheeks, her blonde hair slipping in front of her eyes.
There eyes seemed to etch into her skin. Her legs grew weak and her whole body just wanted to collapse into nothing more than dust on the floor. But with her head held high she opened her lips and began to speak with a hoarse voice. This moment was about her, if anyone thought she was doing it wrong, than that was there problem. There thoughts.
Day’s passed and she changed. She was different girl. The snide comments being thrown at her in the hallway went through one ear and out the other. She smiled sweetly to the ones who flashed her glares. This was her life. Her body. Her mind. Her voice. She was going to use them how she wanted to.
People came up to her in the halls, she turned red still, but she didn’t dare let them smell the fear that was pouring off of her. They smiled at her, they complemented her, asked her where she got her clothes at.
Full of shock and pleasant surprise she shared lunch with them and as soon as it had started she had a group of people who she would die for. And by that she meant that she would:
jump in front of a bullet for them, no hesitation.

Oh how those friends impacted her life. How fragile she was when they first met, and how strong she became. They saved every bit of her from a horrible thought that she had decided was her destiny. It wasn’t. They met for a reason, and even though they didn’t know it at the time, they had saved her from herself.
More than family, the people that she wakes up for. Who needs boys when you have people who would never break your heart and spit on it? Her life was worth living with them there, yet she couldn’t find the right words to describe it. So she showed it. She spent hours on the phone, came to there house in the middle of the night just to hold them as they cried, hated the ones that had caused the tears.
They picked up the pieces of her shattered insides.
Time is slipping fast; her friends won’t be there for to long. They will part one day, off with there own lives as she continues with her. But in the back of her mind for as long as she is alive, she will always remembered how those few special people had
Saved her life.
