Televison Review.

You all saw it coming, but I think people actually need to UNDERSTAND why The Mighty Boosh is such an obession. So don't ignore the Blog.

I think most people that attend the 'Blahs', talk to me or generally visit my profile know I am a fan (obesser, maybe?) of Brittish TV show The Mighty Boosh.

Because most people see fans brag and quote the show consistantly, people are quite reluctant to become involved or watch the show. Or admit they like it, as I found out from my oldest sister, who now loves it.
The Mighty Boosh is a show of which has devolped a high cult following.
I find it's because you either love the show or you hate it, there isn't really a middle ground.
Some people don't like it because it isn't realistic, they don't understand the humor or like some things, you think it's just stupid.
It's been compared to Monty Python and Mr.Ben, which also have large cult followings and simmillar humor.

The Basics
So there's 2 main characters, not a main character and a side kick.

Vince Noir : Vince is a super trendy, Electro Poof and Jagger loving Zoo Keeper/ Musician/ Shop Keeper. He's naive and has the personality of difficult teenager. Vince is often mistaken as 'Howards ugly wife'. He has a 'run between the rain drops' way of living and is generally cheery, finding the good points in every situation, unless it's got anything to do with his hair or outfit.
He's played by Noel Fielding.

Howard Moon : Jazz lover, self proclaimed 'Mavrick', 'Genre scanner' and 'Multi Instrumentalist'. He's the more serious of the two, constantly getting himself into trouble. Howard loves the outdoors and writing (when he's not recieting them) poems and novels. He's often mistaken for Vinces dad or a science teacher.
He's played by Julian Barratt.

There are characters with smaller roles such as Naboo the Shaman, Bollo the Gorilla and Bob Fossill the head Zoo Keeper.
Then there's one-off or occasional characters, like Tony Harrison, The Hitcher, The Ape of Death, Dixon Bainbridge, Neon and Ultra.

These two boys and their menagerie of friends in the first season of the show worked as 2 zoo keepers who found themselves in places like the Arctic Tundra and Monkey Hell, and in situations like Boxing a Kangaroo, Getting 'stabbed up' by 2 electro girls and getting trapped in a room full of mirrors by a man made of rags.

In the second season Howard and Vince are trying to make their way as musicians but instead end up engaged to 'Scaley men fish', trying to save the world from an elderly woman and stranded on a desert island with coconuts as their wives, girlfriends and best buddies.

The third season has only just started but it will be starring The Horrors, Robots In Disguise and Courtney Love.

I really think mosy of you GSBians would love this show, if you gave it a chance.
After all, you guys influence my music and televison taste alot.
