It’s How It’s Meant To Be?

[Wednesday 23rd April: 5.09pm]

Right now, I’m on top of the world…and to be quite honest, I don’t know why…or maybe I do.

I mean, today has been so stressful, it’s sort of unbelievable, but then, on walking out, my English teacher grabbed me, handing back my weekend essay – A*. A timed exam style essay and I got the highest mark…oh yes!

Within the text, one spelling error was marked, alongside ticks and comments of ‘very engaging opening’ and ‘effective sentence structure’.

The main comment was as follows:

Superb! An excellent description which would definitely gain you the highest grade. This focus should be your choice in the exam – you are very good at describing places, people, feelings.

Target: be careful not to use one sentence paragraphs too often.

So, already, I’m happy, but then there’s this French Oral looming over me [2.30pm tomorrow [Thursday]], yet after walking my dogs, I grab a blanket and sit outside in the grass between two overly large boxer dogs, and suddenly, my final oral questions seem to just sink in.

Purposefully, as I sit in my room, the internet has been turned off to avoid distraction, and as the sounds of ‘Ha Ha You’re Dead’ rings out of my iPod [wait…song change, now it’s Falling – Shibby] I feel relaxed, as though all of a sudden nothing matters.

With my A Level options all sorted [and I can do them all: Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Maths & Mechanics] and my prom getting ever nearer, I feel as though I’m ready for it as it suddenly feels so easy. Sure, I have odd breakdowns and as the stress increases my emotional intelligence decreases, meaning I’m a tad awkward to be around, but it all seems to have gone…

I’m happy, learning French, and happy, who would have thought?

Although to be honest I’d rather be doing Mole equations because I’m a Chemistry addict Shifty
