I Wish I Had Said Yes.
I wish I had said yes when he asked me, when he offered to love me with no strings attached. I wish I had said yes at the offer of companionship, relationship and love. I wish I had said yes when asked if anything was wrong, and then to have spilled my guts for all to see. I wish I had said yes when asked if what I'd told was an overreaction of the truth. I wish I'd said yes when confronted about things I'd done and admitted to them, without embarassment or shame. I wish I had said yes when asked if I was struggling, I wish I had admitted my weaknesses so that I could have tackled them with ease. I wish I had said yes when asked for help, even though I was in need also. I wish I had said yes to everything he'd asked me for. I wish I'd said yes to you. I wish I had said yes to life.
