15 years of being awesome

This is a blog for Mindy; sort of a birthday gift, even if it isn't as good as a cool twilight jacket or something.
Happy birfday Mindy!

Okay, so, I first met Mindy in kindergarten, where, to say the least, she was a huge brat. And I was really, uh... Over-emotional. Really over-emotional. Where we were little, we had a sort of love-hate relationship (haha). I know that back then it was a living nightmare and I cried a lot, but what Mindy really did (I realize now) was toughen me up. I learned to accept that some people would like me and others not so much. Not everything was perfect, and I had to learn that.

Well, once we got past that rocky stage, we became pretty good friends. We had our fights, like all friends. She got jealous of some of my friends, and I got jealous over some of hers, there were some inclusion issues, but that's about it.

But there are a lot of things I have to thank you for, Mindy. Like my music tastes, for example. I wouldn't have liked Green Day if it wasn't for you, along with a lot of others bands like Avenged Sevenfold. Needless to say, I wouldn't be here right now if I didn't like Green Day, so I have Mindy to thank for even being on GSB.

I also have to thank you for a lot of life lessons. Like your unique style; I always was afraid to show my real style because I thought, "What if people think ____" and then added something bad to the blank. Then I saw how you never cared (not that your style is bad; it's awesome, just really differerent), and how you never needed other peoples' opinions to make you feel good, and that was an example for me.

You also always helped me out when I needed it. Guy trouble, friend trouble, high school, you name it. If I had a problem, chances were that if you knew about it, you were on it like a spider monkey. Which reminds me... You helped me a lot with having a real sense of humor.

In short, I wouldn't be the person I am today if it wasn't for you, Mindy. You're one of my most awesome best friends in the world and you're just so awesome for it. You're 15, and as far as I'm concerned, those 15 years were really important to a lot of people, including me, but definatly not only me.

HAPPY BIRFDAY!
And thanks for reading. =]
